We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, seeking healing and strength for him. The Bible tells us that Jesus went about healing all kinds of sickness and disease among the people, demonstrating God's power and compassion. As followers of Christ, we have the privilege to pray for healing in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, for it is by His name that we can approach God the Father. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB:
Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
Concerning your son's healing, we pray according to God's will, knowing that His power is made perfect in our weakness. Let us remember the words of the Apostle James:
Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective. (James 5:14-16)
Together, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking healing for our dear brother who is afflicted with COPD and asthma. We ask that You touch his body, heal his lungs, and strengthen his immune system to fight off all illnesses and viruses. Help him to breathe easily, especially in this heat and humidity.
Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and there is no disease that is beyond Your healing power. We trust in Your sovereignty and goodness, knowing that Your will is perfect. If it is Your will, please grant him healing that he may continue to live for Your glory.
In the meantime, we pray for Your comfort and strength to be upon him and his family during this time. Help them to trust in You and to draw closer to You through this trial. May Your name be glorified and may Your kingdom come.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you and your son to remain steadfast in faith and to trust in God's unfailing love. Remember the words of Paul in Romans 8:28 WEB:
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
May God's peace, comfort, and healing be upon your son and your family.
