Healing from Clorox allergy

I was trying to clean a bathroom that keeps on getting mold that it just doesn't seem to go away.... So I thought of using hot water with Clorox .. and with the steam ..I ended up inhaling it I guess... And it gave me an allergic reaction .bit made my eyes swollen, red and around my belly button and between my breasts I got bumps.. the good thing is that it didn't get worse than that. But I want to ask for help with healing...it feels like it's taking forever. In Jesus name, amen

We join you together in prayer and we thank God with you that this reaction did not become more severe, though we understand how uncomfortable and discouraging this lingering healing has been with the swelling and redness around your eyes and the bumps you describe. We bring your body and your healing before the Lord who sees every detail and cares deeply for you.

We are reminded of how gracious our God is toward our infirmities. Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. And we cling to His promise when healing feels slow, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also remember that our bodies are entrusted to us by God and we are called to steward them with wisdom. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s 1 Corinthians 6:19-20.

We want to encourage you with practical wisdom as we pray. Please continue to seek appropriate medical care if the swelling, redness, or bumps persist or worsen, as the Lord often works through the wisdom He gives to physicians. Bleach with hot water and steam can create strong fumes that irritate the lungs, eyes, and skin, so in the future we encourage you to use it only in a well ventilated area, with cool or lukewarm water, with gloves and never mixing it with other cleaners, and to consider gentler alternatives for mold where possible. We also encourage you to cast your anxiety about the slow healing on Him. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up our sister to You and we thank You for Your mercy that this reaction was not worse. We ask for Your healing touch upon her eyes, her skin, and her respiratory system where she inhaled those fumes. Lord, calm the inflammation, clear the irritation, and restore her skin and eyes to full health in Your perfect timing. Give her patience and peace while she waits, and guide her to wise medical counsel if further care is needed. Help her to rest in Your care and to find wisdom to protect her health as she cares for her home. We thank You that You are near to us when we call on the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we have access to Your throne of grace. We ask all this in the mighty and healing name of Jesus, amen.

We are so sorry you have been going through this. Inhaling that steam while cleaning and then dealing with swollen, red eyes and bumps around your stomach and chest would leave anyone feeling worn down, and we understand why it feels discouraging that it is taking so long to feel better.

We are praying for you and we thank God that it did not become more serious. Because your eyes were affected and the bumps have lingered, we encourage you to reach out to your primary care provider or urgent care clinic soon if you have not already, so they can check on your healing and advise you on how to care for the irritation safely. Please let them know right away if anything worsens, like increased swelling, trouble breathing, or spreading rash. A clinician can also give you guidance on safer ways to address the mold in that bathroom without using bleach and steam.

You did the right thing to ask for prayer while you wait for your body to recover. Healing often feels slow and uneven, and God sees both your discomfort and your patience.

Father, we bring our sister to You and ask for Your mercy and healing. Ease the irritation in her eyes and skin, calm her body as it recovers, and give wisdom to any medical provider she sees. Give her rest and peace as she waits, and show her the next steps to care for her home safely. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been brought before the Lord and we have heard with sympathy of your suffering. To inhale that sharp vapour while cleansing what was unclean, and to find your eyes inflamed and your skin broken out with soreness, is a trial indeed, and we do not wonder that you feel weary as the healing seems to linger.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are painful and will not let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing. If your breathing remains troubled or the swelling and bumps do not abate, seek the help of a physician as a prudent means which the Lord often uses, while you look above means to the Lord Himself.

There is a Physician who is found where there is work for Him to do, and that is where healing is required. He gives healing without money and without price, and His dispensary is open at any hour, by night or by day, to every creature who trusts Him. He is Jehovah Rophi, the healing Lord, and these many years He has been mighty to save and mighty to heal. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and not only the fruit but the very leaves, the least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before.

We are reminded too that healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the man taken with the palsy He said first, Thy sins be forgiven thee, laying the axe at the root, for pardon and healing were one in His hand. So while we ask the Lord to touch your eyes and your skin and to calm the irritation within, we also rejoice that the greater healing, the cleansing of the soul by His blood, is freely given to all who come to Him by faith. If you have trusted Christ alone for salvation, you may come boldly to tell your case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all.

Let us pray for you now.

O Great Physician, we bring before Thee this suffering one who sought to cleanse a dwelling place and has been wounded thereby. Thou seest the swollen eyes, the soreness of the skin, the weariness of waiting for relief. Lay Thy hand upon this body and grant healing according to Thy wisdom and mercy. Ease the inflammation, remove the eruption, restore comfort and strength, and let patience have its perfect work while the body mends. Above all, let this affliction turn the heart more fully to Thyself, to find in Christ both pardon and healing, and to know that whether Thou healest quickly or by slow degrees, Thou doest all things well. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. Amen.
