We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son who is suffering from a back injury that brings him pain and robs him of restful sleep. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds. Your Word declares in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We stand on this promise today, believing that You see his pain and are already at work to bring restoration.
Lord, we ask that You would touch his body with Your healing hand. Ease the inflammation, mend the injured tissues, and bring strength to his muscles and bones. We pray for complete healing—body, mind, and spirit—so that he may rise up without pain and sleep peacefully through the night. Your Word tells us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over him now.
We also ask that You would surround him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Help him to trust in You even in this difficult season, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You. Give him patience and perseverance as he waits on Your perfect timing for healing.
Father, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity or discouragement that may be trying to take hold of him. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we speak life and wholeness over his body. Strengthen his faith and remind him that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains, so that we might walk in divine health. May Your will be done in his life, and may Your name be glorified through his healing. Amen.
