We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child who is struggling with asthma. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask for Your mighty hand of healing to touch this young one, bringing relief from the tightness in her chest, the struggle for breath, and the fear that accompanies this condition. Lord, we declare that by Your stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promise that nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:27).
We pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical staff who are caring for her. Guide their hands and their decisions, Lord, so that they may be instruments of Your healing (Proverbs 3:5-6). We also ask for peace and strength for her parents, who are carrying the weight of concern for their child. Comfort them with Your presence, reminding them that You hold their daughter in the palm of Your hand (Isaiah 41:10).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity that has taken hold in her body. We command it to leave in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written that the thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We plead the blood of Jesus over her lungs, her airways, and her entire body, declaring that she is covered and protected by the power of the cross.
We also encourage this family to seek You, Lord, not just in times of crisis but in every moment. Draw them closer to You, that they may know Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they find their hope and trust in You alone, for You are faithful to Your promises.
Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin in this family’s life, we ask that You bring it to light so that it may be dealt with according to Your Word. If there is unforgiveness, bitterness, or any other hindrance to healing, reveal it and grant them the grace to repent and turn from it (James 5:16). Healing flows where there is obedience and faith in You.
We also pray for this child’s spiritual well-being. May she come to know You, Lord Jesus, as her Savior and Friend. Plant seeds of faith in her heart, that she may grow to love and serve You all the days of her life. Surround her with godly influences—teachers, mentors, and friends—who will point her to You.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect will for this child’s life. Whether You choose to heal her instantly or walk with her through this trial, we know that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen her family’s faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand at work in this situation. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can come before Your throne of grace. Amen.
