We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up and their precious son who selflessly serves as a caregiver. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who formed in their mother’s womb and knows every cell in their body. ALS is a cruel and devastating disease, but we declare that nothing is too hard for You. Your Word says in Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" We stand on this promise and ask for complete healing and restoration for . Lord, we rebuke this disease in the mighty name of Jesus, for Your Word declares in 1 Peter 2:24, "by whose stripes you were healed." We claim that healing for today, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

We also lift up ’s son, who has taken on the sacred role of caregiver. Father, we ask that You strengthen him in body, mind, and spirit. Caregiving is a labor of love, but it can also be physically and emotionally exhausting. Your Word tells us in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." Lord, renew his strength daily, and surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We also pray for additional caregivers to come alongside this family. Lord, You are the Provider, and we trust that You will send godly, compassionate individuals to assist in this journey. Your Word says in Psalm 37:25, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread." We believe You will provide not only caregivers but also the financial support needed to sustain this family.

Father, we must also address the spiritual foundation of this request. Healing is found in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or made whole (Acts 4:12). If or their son have not placed their trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that they would do so today. Salvation is the first and greatest healing, for it restores our relationship with You and secures eternal life. Romans 10:9 says, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." We pray that this family would know Jesus intimately and walk in the fullness of His grace and power.

Lord, we also ask that You guard this family’s hearts against fear, doubt, or despair. ALS can bring overwhelming challenges, but Your Word reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." Fill them with Your peace, hope, and unwavering faith. Surround them with a community of believers who will uplift them in prayer, encouragement, and practical support. Let them experience Your love in tangible ways, Lord, so that they may know You are near.

We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer, Provider, and Savior. Amen.

We hear the heavy weight in this request, the longing for healing, and the deep concern for your son who carries so much as your caregiver. ALS places an immense load on the whole family, and we can feel your love for him woven through every word.

When someone we love is pouring themselves out day after day as a caregiver, it’s easy for them to quietly run dry while no one notices. The "sandwich generation" reality, balancing care for a parent alongside their own life and responsibilities, is uniquely draining. One of the most practical gifts you can give him right now is permission to receive help himself. Let us gently encourage you: reach out to your church community or a local caregiver support network. Even one person bringing a meal or sitting with you for two hours so he can rest or run an errand can be a lifeline. Many churches also have a parish nurse or care coordinator who can help you navigate options for respite care or financial assistance programs. You do not have to carry this search alone.

Father, we lift up this dear one to You now. In Your mercy, bring healing and strength to their body, and sustain their spirit with Your nearness. We pray for their son, asking You to guard his heart from burnout and fill him with fresh energy each day. Provide the additional caregivers and financial provision so urgently needed, open doors and bring helpers alongside this family in tangible, practical ways. Surround them with Your people who will show up and stay. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The affliction of ALS is a heavy cross, yet we are bold to bring it to Him who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows. We cry to the Lord Jesus, the great Physician, that He would stretch forth His hand and raise you up, fully healed and restored. Even the leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing, and the least touch of His garment can make you whole. There is power in the incarnate Word to arrest this withering disease; His grace can renew the life-blood and make the frame strong again. We plead the promise, “The inhabitant shall not say, I am sick,” and we ask that the Sun of Righteousness arise upon you with healing in His wings.

For your son, who serves as your caregiver, we pray for sustained strength and tender mercies. May the Lord be his portion and uphold him in this labor of love. We ask the God of all comfort to send additional hands to share the burden and to provide financial relief, for He knows your needs before you ask. The same Christ who healed Peter’s wife’s mother and she rose to minister to Him, will not leave you without support. Look to Calvary, where pardon and healing flow together; trust in the wounded side of Jesus, where every need is met. He who forgives all your iniquities will not forget your body’s frame.

We beseech the Lord to make this a time of conspicuous healing power, even as Christ wrought miracles while teaching the Word. May faith rise in your heart through the hearing of His promises, and may you find Him faithful. We commit you and your son to the care of Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think. Amen.

The suffering of the body is a heavy chain, yet the Lord permits it not to destroy but to reveal His strength. Do not let the disease speak louder than the promises of God. The enemies of Christ thought the sealed tomb would silence the truth, yet their own scheming only made the resurrection undeniable. So too, this sickness may seem to seal you in weakness, but God can break it open for a testimony of His power. You ask for full healing and restoration: pray boldly, but also listen carefully to what He is doing in the waiting. The Law required a careful hearing before judgment; do not judge your situation by appearances alone. Know what He intends.

Love is the one thing needful. You son, who cares for you, is a living image of that love. The soldier cannot fight without the one who supplies him, and the provider cannot stand without the soldier’s protection. Support one another in this bond. The church must not merely pray but also become the hands and feet of provision. Do not grow weary in seeking helpers and financial relief. Admonish the disorderly, encourage the faint-hearted, support the weak, this is the law of Christ’s household. If any see a need and turn away, they have not yet understood love’s matchless beauty.

Beware of spoken words that carry no faith. The Pharisee spoke truth but was condemned; how much more those who spread despair or idle reports about this illness? Let your mouth be filled with the language of hope, not grumbling. Though you have heard ten times and felt no change, the eleventh word may bring the fruit. The tree struck many times falls at last. Persist in hearing the Scriptures, in the prayers of the faithful, in the promises. What you have not yet seen with your eyes, hold fast as more certain than what you now feel. The blind man knew what he had seen; you know what Christ has accomplished. He rose. That rising is the guarantee of all restoration, whether now or in the age to come.

So pray for healing and expect it. But if the Lord delays, do not imagine He is absent. Nicodemus came forward cautiously, yet he was a true disciple. Even a small faith, enduring, is precious. I urge you to seek additional caregivers and finances with confidence, for it is right that the body of Christ share the burden. Let love manage all things, distributing help where it is needed. The God who raised Jesus from the dead will not abandon you in the tomb of this disease. Cling to the truth of the empty grave. May the Lord who hears before we call send you the comfort of His Spirit, the strength of His people, and in His time, the healing that only He can give.

How heavy this trial must feel for you as a mother, watching your son suffer and carrying the weight of care alongside your grandson. Thank you for letting us carry this to the Lord together.

There is a deep mystery in why some are healed in a moment and others are not. We see it plainly in Scripture. The apostle Paul pleaded three times for a thorn in his flesh to be removed, yet the answer was not the healing he sought but a sufficient grace to endure. That does not mean we stop asking or believing. Far from it. We remember that the prophecy Isaiah spoke, which Matthew quoted, tells us Christ Himself bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. His atoning work is broad enough to cover both the forgiveness of sin and the restoration of the body. We do not have to narrow it to spiritual healing only; the bread He broke for us speaks of a provision that reaches into our physical lives.

At the same time, we must leave room for God to work as He chooses. In the law, God made a remarkable provision for the leper in the day of his cleansing, even for a condition deemed incurable by human means. So we ask boldly, giving God the opportunity to move in a way that defies nature altogether. Whether He works through an instantaneous miracle or through the gradual processes He designed within the human frame, any true healing comes from His hand. Sometimes that healing touches the body with sudden power; other times it mends the mind and emotions first, bringing peace where fear and exhaustion have ruled.

As you lift your son before the Lord for full restoration, do not lose heart if the answer unfolds slowly. Jesus did not heal every person the same way. He spoke a word from a distance, or He touched, or He sent someone home to discover the work already done. He is not confined to a single pattern, and He is not limited by a diagnosis.

Now, for your grandson, who serves as a caregiver, and for the provision of additional help and financial support, these practical burdens are close to the heart of God. He knows our frame and remembers that we are dust. The early church understood this. When believers in Jerusalem faced severe poverty, gifts came from other churches, even from those who themselves were in deep trial and financial struggle. Their giving was not out of abundance but out of a joy that overflowed. In the same way, we trust the Lord to stir up help from unexpected places, whether through hands-on caregivers or the resources to sustain the household. Paul worked with his own hands at times to meet his needs and to avoid being a weight on others, and at other times he was supported by gifts from faraway churches so he could continue the work set before him. God uses many streams to supply what is lacking.

We will pray earnestly for relief to come, for the right people to step in, and for the funds to appear. Above all, we hold to the one unshakable provision God has made for every eternal need, which is Jesus Christ Himself. He is the only remedy for our deepest sickness of sin, and in Him we have a hope that anchors us regardless of how the temporal battle goes. Let your heart rest in His care, even as you cry out for healing and help. We stand with you in that cry.
