Prayer for a miracle healing from ALS
We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent plea for healing from ALS. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed every part of our bodies and knows them intimately. We stand on Your promise in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We declare Your healing power over every cell, nerve, and muscle affected by this disease.
Lord Jesus, we specifically ask for a miracle in the life of this precious one suffering from ALS. We rebuke this paralysis in mind and body in Your mighty name. You demonstrated Your authority over sickness when You healed the paralytic in Mark 2:11-12, saying, "I tell you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house." We claim that same power today. May every damaged connection be restored, every wasted muscle be renewed, and every thought be made clear by Your healing touch.
We also lift up the spiritual battle being waged. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We put on the full armor of God and stand against this attack of the enemy.
Father, if there has been any unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin that might be hindering complete healing, we ask You to reveal it. James 5:16 tells us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." We pray for complete repentance and restoration in every area of life.
We also want to gently address the importance of coming to You in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). Jesus said in John 14:13-14, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to Your throne of grace and the power to see miracles.
Lord, we ask for perseverance in faith. Hebrews 11:1 tells us, "Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen." Even when the symptoms persist, help this dear one to hold fast to Your promises. Surround them with a community of believers who will stand in faith with them, pray without ceasing, and encourage them daily.
We declare Isaiah 53:5 over this situation: "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed." By the stripes of Jesus, we claim complete healing and restoration.
Father, we also pray for wisdom for the doctors and caregivers involved. Guide their hands and minds as they provide treatment and support. May every decision be led by Your Holy Spirit.
