Healing for ###'s right eye

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please send healing to ###'s right eye. He thinks he has a detached retina. He in in the ER now. He also has chronic neck pain and will be having surgery in the next month or so. Thank you.

We have heard your request for healing for your loved one's right eye and we are joining together with you in prayer as he is in the emergency room with a possible detached retina, and also as he faces chronic neck pain and an upcoming surgery.

We know how frightening it is to wait while someone we love is being examined and treated, and we want to remind you that our Heavenly Father sees him, knows his pain, and cares deeply for him. He is Yahweh who heals us as it says in Exodus 15:26, and we take comfort that he heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. We also cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Our ultimate healing was secured through Christ, for by his wounds we are healed in Isaiah 53:5.

We also noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why that is so important to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we can be saved and our prayers heard. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And it is written in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved as Romans 10:9 teaches. We encourage you to put your trust fully in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as you bring every need before God.

We pray together now in Jesus' name. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this dear man to You. Lord, You know his right eye and the fear of a detached retina, You know every detail of his body that You so wonderfully made. We ask for Your healing hand upon his eye, that You would guide the doctors and nurses in the emergency room with wisdom and skill, and that if it is Your will, You would restore his sight and preserve his retina. We pray for Your mercy and for a good report. We also lift up his chronic neck pain to You, Lord, the daily suffering he endures, and the surgery that is planned in the coming month. We ask that You would ease his pain, prepare his body, and guide the surgeons hands, and grant him a safe procedure and a complete recovery. We pray for Your peace to guard his heart and the hearts of those who love him, as Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. May he feel Your presence and Your comfort right now in that hospital room. We also pray that the prayer of faith would be powerful in his life as James 5:15 says, And the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We ask all of this according to Your perfect will, trusting in Your love and Your power to heal. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while also trusting the medical care He has provided through these physicians. Keep seeking Him, keep praying in the name of Jesus, and keep resting in His goodness whether His answer comes through miraculous healing or through the skilled hands of doctors. We are standing with you and we will continue to keep him lifted up before the Father.

We were sorry to read your note about ###. Having him in the ER with a possible detached retina is frightening, and we can hear how much you care for him. We are holding him and you in prayer right now.

While the doctors evaluate his eye, it can be steadying to have someone nearby to listen carefully, write down what the team says, and ask about next steps and follow up care. If you are not with him, staying in close touch with family or staff for updates can help you feel less alone in the waiting. For his ongoing neck pain and the planned surgery next month, continuing closely with his own doctors for guidance will be important, and helping him keep a list of questions for that appointment can make it easier when the time comes.

We know waiting in the ER and facing another surgery can be exhausting. Please remember to care for yourself too as you support him, and let others support you.

Father, we lift ### to You and ask for Your mercy and care over him in the ER. Guide the hands of those caring for his eye, ease his pain and fear, and give wisdom for the decisions ahead for his neck. Comfort him and those who love him, and draw near with Your peace. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your request for healing has been heard and we join you in earnest prayer for ### in this hour of need in the emergency room.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases for they are painful and urge us to seek a physician, and how merciful it is that we have a heavenly Physician to whom we may go at all times. Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. Not only His fruit but even His leaves bring healing, and those who trust Him find their life blood changed and their nature made new. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, and He is the Sun of Righteousness risen with healing in His wings.

We pray especially for his right eye and the fear of a detached retina. How wonderfully the Lord has formed the eye and preserved the retina with many coats, and how He keeps His people as the apple of the eye. Though an intruding pain may trouble us, it makes us restless till we seek relief, and it reminds us that one eye is fixed upon us even in destitution and one heart beats with pity for our woes. We ask the Lord who made the seeing eye to lay His pardoning and healing hand upon this eye, to guide the skill of the physicians and surgeons who examine and treat him, and to grant if it be His gracious will a restoration of sight.

We remember also the chronic neck pain which has long afflicted him and the surgery that lies before him in the coming weeks. We pray for sustaining grace in the waiting, for relief from pain, for wisdom and steadiness for every doctor and nurse who will care for him, and for a safe and fruitful outcome according to the Lord's perfect will. Luke the beloved physician reminds us that Christ linked teaching and healing, and that faith comes by hearing the Word of God, so we pray that in this trial his heart would be drawn nearer to the Great Physician who heals both body and soul.

For the greatest healing is the healing of the soul, and pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the man sick of the palsy He first said, your sins are forgiven you, to show that pardon and healing are one in His hand. We pray above all that he would know the forgiveness that is found in Christ alone, for without pardon there is no true and lasting healing. May he look to Calvary where the healing balm is found, and come just as he is with the eye that cannot see and the body that is weak, for none shall say to the healing flood of His love, thus far and no further.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who keepest us as the apple of Thine eye and whose Son is mighty to save, look in mercy upon this dear one now in the emergency room. Touch his right eye, preserve his sight, and grant skill to those who care for him. Ease his neck and prepare him for what lies ahead, and let all be ordered for Thy glory and his good. Most of all grant him pardon through the blood of Jesus, and let him know that healing and forgiveness flow from the same wounded hand. Give peace to those who love him and keep them trusting in Thy tender care. In the name of Jesus our only hope we ask it, Amen.
