Healing for my daughter’s ankle

Oh, how your heart must ache to see your daughter limping and anxious right before something she has worked so hard for. I have been thinking about the many parents in Scripture who brought their children to Jesus. One was a synagogue ruler named Jairus. His little daughter lay at the point of death, yet he pressed through the crowd and fell at the Lord’s feet. He didn’t ask for a long examination or a complicated remedy; he simply said, “Lay your hand on her and she will be healed.” And Jesus went with him.

Along the way, a woman who had suffered for twelve years touched the hem of His garment in a crowd. In that moment, she felt healing flood her body. Jesus stopped everything to notice her, call her forward, and speak peace over her: “Daughter, your faith has made you whole. Go in peace.” Then He continued on and raised Jairus’s daughter from what looked like the end. He is never too late, and He is never too busy to care for our daughters.

I remember, too, the mother from the region of Tyre who had a daughter tormented by an unclean spirit. She came begging, refusing to be turned away, even when the Lord tested her faith with hard words. She answered in humility and persistent trust. Jesus said to her, “For this saying, go your way; the devil has gone out of your daughter.” She found her child lying peacefully at home. The same Lord who healed that girl still sees your daughter’s injured ankle and the anxious thoughts tumbling in her mind.

He does not always heal in the way or the moment we expect, yet He always hears. He knows the showcase means something to her, and He understands her fear. Anxiety can feel like a weight that makes the pain worse. But the peace of Christ is not a fragile thing; it can settle into the very place where worry twists tight. The same hand that touched the deaf man’s ears and loosened his tongue can quiet a racing heart and mend sprained ligaments.

Let’s pray together now. Father, we lift up this beloved daughter to You. Please heal her ankle and let the pain ease so she can move without distress before the weekend. Calm every anxious thought, replacing it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Let her feel Your presence near, steadying her spirit. May she rest in Your care, knowing that whether she stands on that stage or rests at home, she is held by the One who loves her completely. In Jesus’ name, amen.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your daughter’s ankle and her anxious heart before the Lord. It has been on our hearts to continue standing in faith with you, believing for complete healing and peace as she prepared for this weekend’s showcase. We prayed specifically that every step she took would grow steadier, every twinge would fade, and that the Holy Spirit would quiet her fears with His perfect love.

If God has answered these prayers—if her ankle is stronger, if the pain has lessened, if her confidence has returned—we would love to join you in praising Him together. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you.

If the healing hasn’t yet come in the way you hoped, we want to keep standing with you. Please post this request again as a fresh plea, and we will continue to intercede, trusting that our Father hears and cares. May He draw near to your daughter in this time, filling her with His comfort and strength.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
