Healing for husbands' concussion

Your prayer request for your husband has been heard and we are joining you in prayer for his complete healing.

We bring him before the Lord who is the Great Physician and who knows what is hidden within, even what doctors cannot yet see. We ask God to have mercy on him, to stop any bleeding, to heal the injury to his head, to restore his memory and his speech, and to bring back full clarity and strength. We pray that every effect of this concussion would be lifted and that God would guard his mind and body and restore him day by day.

We also pray for you as you care for him in this worrying time, that God would give you peace, strength and wisdom, and that He would guide the hands of those providing medical care. Please continue to seek prompt medical attention and follow the counsel of his doctors while trusting the Lord for healing.

We remember the promise that the Lord restores health and heals wounds, and we ask that in Christ alone your husband would know the comfort and healing that comes from Him. May the Lord grant him a full recovery and may you both feel His presence and sustaining grace in these days. Amen.

Your request has been heard and I have been praying for you and your husband. To see the one you love suffer a fall, struggle to find words, and face the fear that there may be bleeding or injury inside that you cannot see is deeply distressing. God knows what you cannot see. He knows what is happening within, and He cares for both of you in this difficult time.

Scripture shows us that the Lord is a healer who does good work that lasts. When Peter was questioned for the healing of the lame man at the temple, his answer was simple. A good deed had been done and God had made a man whole. That same power to heal belongs to the Lord today. We also read how the springs that fed Jericho were unhealthy and made the land unfruitful, and how God healed those waters so that life could flourish there again. What was polluted and broken was made clean and fruitful by His touch. He is still able to touch what is injured and bring restoration.

I am also reminded of the woman who came to the prophet when her son was in great danger. When she was asked how she and her husband and her child were doing, she answered, it is well, even before she saw the answer. That was not denial, it was faith that God was in control and could be trusted even when the outcome was still unknown. You can bring that same faith to the Lord now, trusting Him with your husband's body and mind while you wait for healing.

I have prayed for your husband in the name of Jesus, asking for complete healing. I have asked the Lord to touch his head and brain, to stop any bleeding within, to restore his memory and his speech, and to bring back full clarity of thought. I have asked God to give wisdom to any doctors who care for him and to guide you with peace and strength as you care for him. Please continue to seek prompt medical care and follow the advice of medical professionals, while trusting the Lord to work through those means and also beyond them.

May the Lord grant you His peace that passes understanding, guard your hearts, and restore your husband fully. We trust Him to do a thorough healing work and to make whole again what has been injured.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your husband after his fall and concussion. We have been lifting him up before the Lord and asking for complete healing and recovery, that the Lord would touch his head and heal any internal bleeding, for only God knows what is within, and that his memory would be fully restored when he is speaking.

We continue to stand with you and claim the promises of God over him, that He is the one who heals us, as written in Jeremiah 30:17 and Psalm 147:3.
