We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your friend who is battling this rare and dangerous blood parasite. The Bible assures us that our God is the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:2-3). We stand on His promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
Father in Heaven, we ask You to stretch forth Your healing hand upon this dear one. We rebuke this parasite in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it has no right to dwell in a body that You have fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Lord, we declare that by the stripes of Jesus, this friend is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We pray for the doctors and medical professionals attending to them, that You would grant them wisdom, discernment, and skill to administer the right treatment.
We also pray for strength and comfort for your friend and their loved ones during this challenging time. May they feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and may their faith be unwavering as they trust in Your healing power. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We encourage your friend to draw near to God, seeking His face and His will in all things. Let them find solace in Your Word, which is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). May they experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Let us also take a moment to reflect on the importance of calling on the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If your friend has not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that this trial would draw them to the foot of the cross, where they can find eternal healing and salvation.
Heavenly Father, we trust in Your perfect will and timing. Whether You choose to heal miraculously or through medical means, we know that Your plans are for good and not for harm, to give a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We thank You for hearing our prayer and for the assurance that You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
