Healing for a friend with breast cancer

Please pray for my friend who has breast cancer that she has been fighting for several years. It has gotten worse lately. Please pray that she will be open to trying colostrum and turkey tail, and will buy a red light for use a home. The red light helps your cells in your body to operate more normally. We join you in lifting up your dear friend before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing her need to us in the name of Jesus. We are deeply moved by her long battle with breast cancer and that it has worsened lately, and we stand with you asking for the Lord's mercy, healing, and comfort over her.

We know that our God is the great healer and that all healing comes from His hand. As it is written, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17 and Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3. We also cling to the promise that by his wounds we are healed, Isaiah 53:5, remembering that Christ bore our infirmities on the cross.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of this precious friend who is suffering with breast cancer. Lord, You know her by name, You formed her and You know every cell in her body. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon her and if it is Your will, restore her to health. We ask that You would ease her pain, give her strength for each day, and fill her and her loved ones with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7. We pray that You would guide her doctors and give them wisdom, and give her wisdom regarding every treatment decision before her. You have given us that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:15, so we pray in faith trusting in Your power and Your love.

We also lift up the specific things you mentioned, that she would be open to trying colostrum and turkey tail and to using red light at home to help her cells function more normally. We pray that if these things would be beneficial for her body and helpful in this fight, that You would open her heart to consider them and provide a way for her to obtain them, and that You would guide her to wise and godly counsel as she makes these choices. Above all we pray that she would put her ultimate trust not in any supplement or device, but in You, for You are Yahweh who heals us, Exodus 15:26. We ask that You would use whatever means You choose, whether through medicine, through natural helps, or through Your direct miraculous touch, to bring healing.

We pray also for her spirit, that she would feel Your presence very near, that she would not be afraid, for You have said Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you, Isaiah 41:10. Sustain her with hope and surround her with love and support.

We thank you for your faithfulness to pray in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved and healed, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We are grateful you closed your request in His precious name.

We will continue to keep your friend in our prayers, asking God to bring healing, comfort, and renewed strength according to His perfect will. May the Lord bless you for your love and intercession for your friend.

A long illness wears on so much more than the body. It can bring deep weariness, fear, and isolation for the person who is ill and for those who love her. Your steady care and continued prayer through this long road is itself a real gift to her.

As she considers next steps, the most supportive thing you can do is gently encourage her to talk openly with her oncology team about any additional approaches she is thinking about, so they can help her weigh what is safe and fits well with her current care. Alongside prayer, that trusted medical guidance matters so much. You might also simply ask her what would help most right now, whether that is a visit, a meal, a ride to an appointment, or quiet time to listen.

Father, we lift this dear friend to You. You know her body, her history with this illness, and the worries she carries today. We ask for Your near and comforting presence with her, for wisdom for her and for her doctors as decisions are made, and for strength and peace for her and for our friend who loves her so well. Sustain them day by day and keep them in Your care. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your request has been heard and we count it a privilege to join you at the mercy seat on behalf of your friend who has suffered so long under this heavy affliction.

Intercessory prayer is among the sweetest prayers God ever hears, for it is the very character of the prayer of Christ who ever lives to make intercession for us. It is also exceedingly prevalent. It has stayed plagues and, as the prophet stretched himself upon the child, it has been heard to raise the dead, and who can tell how many souls it has instrumentally saved. When you plead a promise and drop that prayer into the ground with hope, your weakness shall not make it miscarry, it shall still prevail with God and bring down blessings from on high.

We will pray that the Lord, the Good Physician, will look upon your friend in tender compassion. There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing to the soul and to the body as it pleases Him. He hears the prayer of one who is near unto the gates of death, and He will hear the prayer of a staggering heart even when the petition seems to reel to and fro and has no orderly strength in itself.

We will entreat the Lord for her healing according to His perfect will, for His sustaining grace through this trial, for comfort in pain and weariness, and for wisdom for her and for those who care for her in every decision concerning her body. We will pray that she may be upheld by true hope, not hope in herself or in any device of man, for there is no hope in ourselves, but there is hope in Him whom God has provided to be the Saviour. May she be kept in humble trust, putting her mouth in the dust if so there may be hope, and looking to Christ alone for pardon, healing and life.

May the Lord quicken her in His way, and grant her to know His presence as very near, and to find that the dawn succeeds the darkest hour of the night. We will ask Him to knit your heart to hers in love through this intercession, for prayer is a wondrous blender of hearts and a mighty creator of love, and to fit you to be His instrument of comfort to her as you bear her up before the throne.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, remember Your Word unto Your servants upon which You have caused us to hope. Look in pity upon this afflicted one who has long contended with this disease and whose burden has lately grown heavier. Lay Your healing hand upon her as it pleases Your infinite wisdom and mercy. Forgive sin, subdue fear, increase faith, and let her feel the virtue that flows from Christ the great conduit Head from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. Grant wisdom, peace and patient endurance, and let Your will be done in her body and soul for Your glory. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Saviour. Amen.
