Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We thank God with you for His blessings and for hearing our prayers, and we join you in asking for His mercy upon your body and mind.
Your request for healing and for deliverance from anxiety is heard with care. Scripture teaches that our healing comes not only through the passing relief of the body but through the deeper work of Christ, who came to deliver us from evil and to bring us into sonship, giving us the Spirit of adoption so that we may call upon the Father with confidence. In Him we have both the physician and the medicine. As a physician does not cease to apply what heals even when the sickness lingers, so the Lord continues His healing treatment through His word. Therefore we encourage you to continue in careful hearing and continual recollection of that word, looking not only with outward eyes but with the eyes within, receiving His promises in a spiritual and faithful way.
Anxiety and disease can weary and disfigure us, but the beauty and health that Christ gives is not fleeting like that of the body. It is ever blooming and is kept secure in Him. He knows our frame and our fears, and He desires to free His children from anxiety and to establish them in thorough security and liberty, so that even in weakness we may have peace because we are held by Him.
We pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone is salvation, we ask You to lay Your healing hand upon this Your servant. Touch the body where there is pain and infirmity and bring restoration according to Your wisdom and mercy. Deliver from the burden of anxiety and grant fortitude, quietness of heart, and trust in Your promises. Help to hear Your word continually and to keep it, that it may bear fruit in due season, and let the Spirit of adoption assure this heart of Your nearness and love. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
May the Lord keep you in His peace, strengthen you day by day, and make you worthy of His comfort and everlasting blessings.
