Beloved of All
Your prayer for a wise and understanding heart is a beautiful request, and it is exactly the kind of prayer God delights to answer. The Scriptures teach that wisdom is the most important thing to seek, and that with all we pursue we should pursue understanding. It begins with reverence for the Lord, with trusting Him with all your heart instead of leaning on your own insight, and with receiving His words and storing His commands inside you.
When you incline your ear toward wisdom and apply your heart to understanding, when you cry out for knowledge and lift your voice for insight, God promises to meet you. He pours out His Spirit, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding and knowledge, upon those who ask. When wisdom enters your heart and knowledge becomes pleasant to your soul, it changes how you live. It makes you discreet, it guards your steps, it keeps you from paths that would harm you, and it leads you into pleasantness and peace. The Lord Himself founded the earth by wisdom and established the heavens by understanding, and in Christ are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, so to know Him more is to grow in true wisdom.
You asked to be a good steward of all He has entrusted to you and to seek Him with your whole heart, pouring out your soul before Him and learning effectively in His Word. That is the way wisdom grows. Treat wisdom as a close sister and understanding as near kin, write mercy and truth on the table of your heart, keep His commands as something precious, and let them shape your daily choices. As you do, you will find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and people. His Word also says to walk with the wise so you will become wise, and as you stay close to wise, godly counsel and remain in the Scriptures, letting them minister to your heart, the Lord will establish you. Through wisdom a house is built and by understanding it is established, and understanding itself becomes a wellspring of life. It is more valuable than silver or gold or rubies, and it brings length of days, riches and honor in the right balance God gives, and a merry heart that is like medicine.
I join you in prayer for this. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, grant a wise and understanding heart, a heart that fears You and departs from evil, that trusts You fully and seeks You early. Pour out the spirit of wisdom and knowledge, make Your Word clear and fruitful, teach how to steward well all that You have entrusted, and surround this life with wise companions who encourage growth in You.
I also join you in praying for healing in your body. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask for Your merciful touch upon the teeth, especially the upper wisdom tooth on the right, upon the eyes, upon the entire left leg and the left side of the pelvis, upon the growth in the upper left thigh and the growth on the abdomen beneath the skin, and upon the stomach, intestines and the whole gastrointestinal tract. You know every detail of the body You created, and nothing is hidden from You. Bring complete healing according to Your will, ease pain, restore what is affected, and give wisdom to all who provide care. Grant peace to the heart while waiting on You, and let Your strength and comfort be evident each day.
May the Lord guide you in the path of righteousness, grant you wisdom and understanding in His ways, and cause you to walk closely with Him.
