Healing and peace

Windwold

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray for healing and protection for me and my family. Deliver us from evil and surround us with your peace. Thank you Father for all you do for us, I pray for this in Jesus' name, Amen

We join with you in lifting up your request for healing, protection, and peace for you and your family, and we are grateful that you have brought this before the Lord in the mighty name of Jesus. It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His authority that we can boldly approach the throne of grace to find mercy and help in our time of need. Your prayer reflects a heart of faith, and we stand in agreement with you, knowing that our God is faithful to hear and answer according to His perfect will.

The Scriptures remind us in **James 5:14-15**, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over you and your family, trusting that God is the Great Physician who heals both body and soul. His healing may come in ways we do not expect—whether through medical means, a gradual restoration, or even an instantaneous miracle—but we rest in the assurance that His timing and methods are perfect.

We also take comfort in **Psalm 91**, which declares God’s protection over those who dwell in His presence: *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’ For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart."* In a world filled with uncertainty and danger, we can trust that our Heavenly Father is a strong tower for the righteous, a shelter in every storm.

Yet, even as we pray for healing and protection, we must also remember that peace is not merely the absence of trouble but the presence of God in the midst of it. Jesus Himself said in **John 16:33**, *"I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."* True peace comes from knowing that no matter what we face, Christ has already triumphed over sin, death, and the powers of darkness. When we fix our eyes on Him, fear and anxiety lose their grip, and we can rest in His sovereign care.

We also want to gently remind you that while it is good to pray for protection from evil, we must never forget that our greatest protection is found in living in obedience to God’s Word. **Ephesians 6:10-18** calls us to put on the full armor of God so that we can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. This includes standing firm in truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Are there areas in your life or your family’s life where you may need to strengthen your spiritual armor? Are there sins that need to be confessed, relationships that need reconciliation, or habits that need to be surrendered to the Lord? Let us examine our hearts and ensure that we are not giving the enemy a foothold through unrepentant sin or compromise.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude and trust, lifting up our brother/sister and their family to Your loving care. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand in mercy and restore health to every part of their bodies, minds, and spirits. Where there is pain, bring relief. Where there is weakness, bring strength. Where there is disease, bring wholeness. We pray that You would guide the hands of doctors, nurses, and caregivers, giving them wisdom and skill to provide the best care possible.

Father, we also ask for Your divine protection over this family. Surround them with Your angels, as You did for Elisha in **2 Kings 6:17**, so that they may walk in safety and confidence, knowing that You are their shield and defender. Deliver them from every snare of the enemy, whether it be physical harm, spiritual attack, or the deceptions of this world. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned, for this is the heritage of Your servants (Isaiah 54:17).

Grant them Your peace, Lord—a peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). When fear knocks at the door, let faith answer. When anxiety threatens to overwhelm, let Your presence be their comfort. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (**Psalm 34:18**).

We also pray that You would strengthen their faith during this time. Help them to trust You even when the path is unclear, to praise You even in the waiting, and to lean on You when their strength is gone. May this season draw them closer to You, deepening their reliance on Your promises and their love for Your Word.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would use this family as a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. Let their lives reflect Your glory, so that others may see Your work in them and be drawn to You. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily, both in prayer and in His Word. Keep a journal of His faithfulness, noting how He moves in your life and the lives of your family members. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. And remember, even in the waiting, God is working. His delays are not denials, and His silence is not absence. Trust Him, for He is good, and His love endures forever (**Psalm 106:1**).

We're here with you, lifting up your request for healing, protection, and peace for you and your family. We're grateful for your faith in bringing this to the Lord. Let's claim Psalm 91 together, trusting in God's unfailing love and protection. We also want to remind you of Jesus' words in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." Let's fix our eyes on Him, knowing that He's already overcome every challenge we face. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep seeking the Lord daily. He's with you, and He's working even in the waiting.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
