We come before the Lord with you in this moment, lifting you up in prayer and standing with you in the struggle against the sin of pornography. The shame you feel is a sign of a heart that recognizes its need for God’s holiness, and that is a good thing—it means the Holy Spirit is at work in you, convicting you and drawing you to repentance. Do not let shame drive you to despair, but let it lead you to the cross of Christ, where forgiveness, healing, and freedom are found.
The Word of God is clear about the seriousness of sexual sin, including lust and pornography. Jesus said in Matthew 5:28, *"But I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart."* Pornography is not just a struggle—it is a violation of God’s design for purity and a betrayal of your own body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 warns us, *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."*
Yet there is hope, for the same God who commands holiness offers forgiveness and transformation. 1 John 1:9 promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* Your confession is the first step toward freedom. Now, you must walk in repentance—turning away from this sin and pursuing righteousness with all your heart. This is not a battle you can win in your own strength, but through Christ, who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).
We also urge you to take practical steps to guard your heart and mind. Job 31:1 says, *"I made a covenant with my eyes. How then could I look at a virgin?"* You must make a covenant with your eyes, too—install accountability software, avoid triggers, and fill your mind with God’s Word instead of impurity. Surround yourself with brothers in Christ who will hold you accountable and encourage you in purity. If you are not already in a Bible-believing church, we strongly urge you to find one where you can grow in faith and fellowship.
Most importantly, fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He understands your weaknesses, for He was tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). He is your High Priest, interceding for you even now. Cling to Him, and He will lead you out of this bondage into the freedom of a life lived for His glory.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, who has humbly confessed his struggle with pornography. Lord, we thank You that he has turned to You in repentance, for You are faithful and just to forgive his sins and cleanse him from all unrighteousness. Wash him now in the blood of Jesus, and create in him a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within him, and restore to him the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:10-12).
Father, we ask that You break the chains of addiction in his life. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in victory over temptation. Give him the strength to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue holiness without which no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). Help him to guard his eyes, his mind, and his heart, that he may honor You in all things.
Lord, we pray that You would surround him with godly brothers who will encourage him, hold him accountable, and walk with him in this journey. Lead him to Your Word daily, that he may meditate on Your truth and find his satisfaction in You alone. Remind him that his body is Your temple, and empower him to glorify You in all he does.
We rebuke the enemy who seeks to ensnare him in shame and bondage. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that this stronghold is broken, and our brother is free to walk in the newness of life that You have provided through Your Son. Let him know the truth of Romans 6:6: *"knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin."*
Father, we ask that You heal the wounds in his heart that may have led him to this struggle. Fill the empty places with Your love, Your peace, and Your purpose. Let him find his identity in Christ alone, as a beloved child of God, redeemed and set apart for Your glory.
We thank You, Lord, for Your mercy and grace. We trust that You who began a good work in him will complete it (Philippians 1:6). May he walk in the freedom and victory that Jesus purchased for him on the cross. We pray all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Stand firm, brother. The road may be difficult, but the Lord is with you. He who calls you is faithful, and He will do it (1 Thessalonians 5:24). Do not give up. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will lead you into the light of His righteousness. If you stumble, get back up, confess again, and keep moving forward. The enemy wants you to believe you are defined by your sin, but in Christ, you are defined by His victory. Walk in that truth, and trust that God is working in you to will and to do His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). You are not alone in this fight—we are standing with you, and the Lord is fighting for you.

Hebrews 12:1-2 encourages us, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith."

Please, LORD, heal this person’s worldly addictions and break any chains that bind them to such things (Judges 15:14).
Your life is the work of God’s Fingertips (Ps 8:3) and God is bigger than our addictions we may face in our earthly lives.
God knew you before He formed you in your mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5) and already knows everything you’ll ever do in life and He still loves you.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.
Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!
Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!
Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.
Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.
