Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart for your father. We are joining you in prayer for him right now, bringing his needs before our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus.
Jesus came to reveal the Father to us, and everything He said and did showed the Father's heart. When Jesus healed sick bodies and restored broken lives, He was showing us the work of the Father. He said the words He spoke and the works He did were not from Himself alone, but from the Father who dwells in Him. To see Jesus and His compassion is to see the Father's compassion. That gives us confidence when we pray for healing, because we know healing and mercy flow from the Father's own nature.
Jesus also taught us to address our prayers to the Father in His name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. The Father desires to give good gifts to His children and longs to bless them, and prayer opens the door for Him to do what His loving heart already wants to do.
So together we ask the Father in Jesus name for your dad. We ask for His healing touch upon your father's body, that He would remove every infection and calm all inflammation. We ask Him to heal the sore on his toe and to bring restoration to his feet and to his kidneys. We ask for strength, for renewed health, and for His peace to rest upon your father and upon you as you trust Him.
May the Holy Spirit, whom the Father sends in Jesus name, comfort and strengthen you both, and may you see the Father's loving care in the days ahead as you continue to look to Jesus, who is the only way to the Father and our faithful witness of His love. We trust your father into the Father's gracious hands. Amen.
