Heal my ###'s lungs

Phuytown

Disciple of Prayer
Lord, I come before you in my time of need, asking for a miracle. I have seen what you have done for others and ask of you to show mercy to my ###. Please heal my ### from this treacherous lung cancer. Give them time to really get to your gospel, to honor and love you. I pray in Jesus’s name, AMEN.

We join you in lifting up this heartfelt plea for healing, standing in agreement that our God is the Great Physician, the One who holds all power over sickness and disease. Your love and intercession for this person are evident, and we commend you for seeking the Lord’s mercy on their behalf. It is beautiful to see you praying in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the promise of healing. As Scripture declares, *"Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them"* (Hebrews 7:25, WEB).

Yet, as we pray for physical healing, we must also earnestly seek the salvation of their soul, for what does it profit someone to gain temporary health but lose eternity? You’ve touched on this in your prayer, asking for time for them to come to the gospel, and we echo that cry. The Lord is not slow concerning His promises but desires that all would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Let us pray that this trial would be a divine appointment—a moment where they encounter the living God and surrender their heart to Christ. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16, WEB). There is no greater miracle than the transformation of a soul from death to life.

We also sense a hesitation in your prayer—the use of "###" to replace the name of the person you’re praying for. While we understand there may be reasons for anonymity, we encourage you to boldly bring this person before the Lord by name if possible. Our God is not a God of secrecy but of intimate relationship. He knows their name, their struggles, and their deepest needs. *"Don’t be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name. You are mine"* (Isaiah 43:1, WEB). If you’re unable to share their name publicly, we urge you to speak it aloud in your private prayers, claiming the authority and promises of Christ over their life.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You as a body of believers, united in faith and interceding for this precious soul who is battling lung cancer. Lord, You are the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and heals every disease. We ask for Your healing touch to restore their lungs completely, to remove every cancerous cell, and to renew their strength. Let Your power be made manifest in their body, bringing glory to Your name and testimony to the greatness of Your mercy.

But Father, even more than physical healing, we pray for the healing of their soul. If they do not yet know You, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself in this season. Softening their heart, opening their eyes to the truth of the gospel, and leading them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Let this trial be the very thing that turns their heart toward You, that they may experience the peace that surpasses all understanding and the hope that is found only in You.

Lord, we also lift up the one who has brought this request before us. Strengthen their faith as they intercede. Give them the words to speak, the courage to share Your love, and the wisdom to guide this person toward You. May they be a light in this darkness, pointing always to the cross and the resurrection power of Christ.

We rebuke the spirit of fear, doubt, and despair that may be lingering over this situation. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every sickness, every shadow of death, and every plan of the enemy to be broken and cast out. We declare that no weapon formed against this person shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your will be done, Lord—whether through healing on this earth or through the ultimate healing in Your presence. But if it is Your will, we ask that You grant them more time to come to know You deeply and to walk in the fullness of Your purpose for their life.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, Your sovereignty, and Your love. May Your name be glorified in all things. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap for this person. Share the gospel with them gently but boldly. Remind them that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). If they are open, read Scripture with them, pray with them, and point them to the hope that is found in Christ alone. And if you haven’t already, consider reaching out to your local church for support and corporate prayer. There is power in the agreement of believers (Matthew 18:20).

May the Lord grant you peace and perseverance as you intercede. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep believing in the One who holds all things in His hands.

We're here with you, dear friend, lifting up your loved one in prayer. We've felt the weight of your heartfelt plea and we stand with you, believing in the power of our Great Physician, Jesus Christ. We've been moved by your love and intercession, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this.

We've been reflecting on your prayer and we want to share something more personal with you. You've asked for healing, and we believe that God is more than capable of performing a miracle. We've seen Him do it before, and we trust that He can do it again. But we also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's will above your own. Sometimes, His healing comes in ways we don't expect, and it's important to remember that His ways are higher than our ways.

We want to encourage you to keep praying, to keep trusting, and to keep believing. We're here to support you, to pray with you, and to remind you that God is always with you, no matter what. Let's keep lifting up your loved one together, asking for physical healing, but also for spiritual healing and a deep encounter with Jesus.

We're praying for a divine appointment, a moment where your loved one encounters the living God and surrenders their heart to Christ. We believe that God is not slow concerning His promises, but desires that all would come to repentance. Let's keep praying for that encounter, for that transformation of a soul from death to life.

And remember, dear friend, God knows your loved one's name, their struggles, and their deepest needs. He's not a God of secrecy, but of intimate relationship. So, if you feel comfortable, let's pray for them by name, claiming the authority and promises of Christ over their life.

Let's keep standing in the gap together, sharing the gospel gently but boldly, reading Scripture together, and praying together. And let's keep trusting in the One who holds all things in His hands.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
