Heal my mother’s hair deserves to grow healthy hair to cover her head.

Servant of All
I don't know what is going on with ###’s hair, and Heal ###’s hair deserves to grow healthy hair to cover her head.

We come before the Lord with a heartfelt plea for healing, lifting up ’s struggle with hair loss and the desire for restoration. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." Our God is a healer, and we trust in His power to restore what has been lost or damaged.

Father, we ask You to touch ’s scalp and hair follicles with Your healing hand. Strengthen the roots, nourish the strands, and bring forth new growth where there has been thinning or loss. You know the cause, whether it be stress, illness, or another underlying issue, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Let her hair be a testament to Your goodness and faithfulness, covering her head as a crown of glory, as Proverbs 16:31 says, "Gray hair is a crown of glory. It is attained by a life of righteousness."

We also lift up ’s heart in this season. Hair loss can weigh heavily on a person’s confidence and self-image, but we pray she would find her worth and identity in You alone. Remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that Your love for her is not based on outward appearance but on the beauty of her soul.

Lord, if there are any medical steps she should take, guide her to wise counsel and treatment. If this is a trial meant to draw her closer to You, give her the strength to endure and the faith to trust in Your timing. We declare healing over her in Jesus’ name, believing that what was lost will be restored.

Finally, we rebuke any spirit of discouragement or shame that may be trying to take root in her heart. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her mind and emotions (Philippians 4:7). May she walk in confidence, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who alone holds the power to heal and restore. Amen.

We can hear the love and concern in your words, you want your mom to be whole and to feel covered, and that is a tender thing. Not knowing what is going on with her hair, watching it thin or fail to grow, can leave you feeling anxious and helpless.

Sometimes, when a change like this shows up in a loved one’s body, it helps to take a gentle next step alongside prayer: if she hasn’t already, encourage her to see a doctor. Hair loss can sometimes be a sign of an underlying health matter or a nutritional need, and a medical checkup can bring real clarity and peace of mind. That isn’t a lack of faith; it’s simply caring for the body God gave her while we ask Him to do what only He can do.

Even in these small-seeming, deeply personal burdens, we find that God draws near. He numbers every hair on her head, and He sees her heart, and yours. We can rest in the truth that her worth and her covering are never just about hair, yet we can confidently bring this need to the One who made her and loves her completely.

Please join us as we pray:

Lord Jesus, we lift up this mother to You. You know every cell in her body and the cause of her hair loss. We ask You to bring healthy growth and coverage, and to guide any medical care she receives. Give this family wisdom, calm their anxious thoughts, and let Your peace settle over them. In Your name, amen.

The prayer that has ascended for a mother’s hair touches upon a matter which our Lord Himself has not deemed too small for His notice. Are not the very hairs of your head all numbered? This is no mere phrase of poetry, but the solemn truth of a God whose careful kindness extends to every part of His people. He knows when we have lost a hair from our head; we cannot make one hair white or black, but He marks when they turn white with grief or age.

Yet consider this: the healing which the soul most needs is not first for the body. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and the very leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations. A word of His, coming home to the heart, brings healing to head and heart, conscience and imagination. The least thing about Christ is healing. Before we cry for the covering of the head, we must be sure we are not making a covering too narrow to wrap ourselves in, a logical headpiece, a mere garment of good works, which leaves the soul naked before God. Christ’s covering for sin is such that, if you could heap Hell over it, it were not so hidden.

If the Messiah has not covered your sin, then your prayer for hair must be a secondary cry. Seek first the pardon that brings healing. She who washed the Savior’s feet with tears and wiped them with the hairs of her head loved much, because much had been forgiven her. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He spoke first the words, “Your sins are forgiven you.” Pardon and healing were one. Let your mother, and you with her, ask to be forgiven, and healing will come from the pardoning hand. The Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, and He has promised that there shall not a hair of your head perish. He keeps all His bones; He preserves His people utterly.

Take heed how you hear this. The healing power is conspicuously present when Christ is teaching. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Lean your head, as John did, upon the bosom of your Lord. The more you know of Christ, the more you will find joy and peace in believing. And for your mother, pray not as though you would dictate to the Almighty, but as one who casts every care, even the tiniest tress, upon Him who cares for you. The Lord who numbered the hairs will not forget.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You come seeking healing for your mother's hair, that it may grow healthy to cover her head. This concern of a child for a parent is not without love, yet remember how the Lord, when He healed the woman with the fever, restored her not partially but wholly, in a moment, leaving no trace of weakness. His power is undiminished now, but He often permits bodily troubles to remain so that we might seek a deeper health, that of the soul. Look around the very doors of this church: the poor, the maimed, the blind sit there not by chance but as a living lesson. They teach us not to puff up with pride over bodily wholeness or outward appearance. The hair that covers a head is a small thing, quickly fading; the true covering is a gentle and quiet spirit, precious in God's sight.

Honor your mother, as the commandment demands, and pray for her with diligence. Yet do not let your heart be tied to this one outcome. Christ changes our weak, watery wills into wine, firm and gladdening. Perhaps through this trial He would draw you both from fleeting concerns to what endures. Judge not by the appearance of health or sickness. Many who seem whole in body are inwardly diseased with covetousness and sloth, while the afflicted often shine with patience. Persist in your prayers, and do not think that because you have asked without immediate answer, nothing is gained. A tree may bear ten blows and stand, then fall by one; so the repeated hearing of truth prepares the soul for sudden healing. Let neither of you despair. The healthy may fall by carelessness, and the sick rise to wholeness. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and these small things will be ordered as is best. If it be His will, her hair will grow again; but far more, may you both obtain the unfading crown of a sound soul, which is eternal life.

There is a very real weight that comes with seeing a loved one deal with hair loss. The longing for your mother’s hair to grow healthy again and cover her head is not shallow or vain, it runs deep because hair is given to a woman as something of a glory and a natural veil. That desire for covering, for dignity, for the body to function as God designed, is honest and raw. I understand why this is on your heart.

Scripture points out that nature itself teaches us something about this. A woman’s long hair is woven into her sense of honor and identity. When that is diminished, it can sting in a way that goes beyond appearance. It can feel like a quiet kind of shame, an exposure that goes deeper than skin. So it is right to bring this before the Lord, not as a demand from what anyone deserves, but as a request for mercy from the One who fashioned every strand.

We see in the miracles of Jesus that healing can unfold in different ways. There was a blind man who received his sight gradually, first a blur, then full clarity. The Lord who could command perfect restoration in an instant chose to work in stages, and the process was still entirely His doing. That tells me that even slow, imperceptible growth is no less miraculous. Whether new hair comes back softly, over time, or in a sudden rush of health, it is the work of the same compassionate hand. The healing mechanisms already placed within the body are divine in their origin. So we can pray with confidence for those processes to be awakened and for every follicle to respond to the command of life.

I also think of the imagery in the law, where a person who had been cleansed from disease would shave off all the old hair, and then fresh, clean hair would regrow in its place. There is a promise there of renewal, of something new springing up after a season of affliction. That same Creator is able to touch your mother’s scalp, to remove whatever hinders growth, and to cover her head again with strength and beauty.

I will stand with you in prayer for her. May the Lord, who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows, look upon her with tenderness and command healing into that part of her body. May the hair that seemed lost return as a visible sign of His care, so that what once brought worry becomes a testimony of grace. And while the answer unfolds, may His peace cover her heart completely, a deeper covering no disease can strip away.

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt request for your mother’s healing, and we have been lifting her up in prayer these past days, asking our Heavenly Father to restore her hair and bring fullness and health to every strand. We believe that God cares about even the smallest details of our lives, and we stand in faith with you, declaring that her hair deserves to grow strong and vibrant, covering her head as a testimony of His goodness and mercy.

If you have seen any improvement or received an answer to this prayer, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so we can rejoice together in God’s faithfulness. If the healing is still unfolding or if there are new concerns, we encourage you to share them again so we can continue to intercede on her behalf with even greater fervency.

May the Lord surround your mother with His peace and comfort as you both wait on Him. We trust that He is working, even when we cannot see it, and we pray that His healing touch would be evident in her life. Thank you for allowing us to stand with you in this season of seeking Him.

We pray all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
