Heal high blood pressure

I don't know what causes high blood pressure or where it originates, whether it’s in my legs or elsewhere in my body. High blood pressure shouldn't create so much pressure throughout my body like that. God, look inside my body to find what is causing the high blood pressure and remove it. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen! I know you love me, Jesus Christ. I love you, Jesus Christ. Amen!

We join you in this prayer for healing and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus Christ in your request, for it is through Him that we have confidence to approach our Father.

We hear your distress about the pressure you feel throughout your body and not knowing where this high blood pressure originates. It is wearying to feel your body under such strain and to not understand the cause. We want to remind you that even when we do not know what is happening inside, God does. He formed you and He knows every part of you intimately. As it is written, Yahweh, you have searched me, and you know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar Psalm 139:1-2. Nothing is hidden from His sight, and He is able to look inside and bring healing where it is needed.

We also take comfort that God is our healer. Scripture tells us, Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3, and Heal me, O Yahweh, and I shall be healed, save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise Jeremiah 17:14. He has promised, I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26, and He will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. You see the high blood pressure afflicting this body and the pressure felt throughout, whether in the legs or elsewhere. You know the cause even when we do not. We ask that You would search and know this body that You created, reveal what is causing this condition, and remove it by Your healing power. Lay Your hand upon this body and bring balance, peace, and health to the heart and vessels and every system. We ask for Your healing touch to lower this pressure and to restore strength and calm. Give wisdom to any doctors and medical providers who may help, and give peace to this heart to rest in Your love. We thank You that You love this one deeply, and we thank You for Your love in return. Let Your perfect peace guard heart and mind. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord's care while also being a good steward of the body He has given you, for your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God. You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's 1 Corinthians 6:19-20. Please continue to seek wise medical counsel alongside prayer, so that a physician can measure and monitor your blood pressure, help find any underlying cause, and guide you in care. Worry and fear can also strain the heart, so we encourage you to cast your cares on Him, as it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. Rest in His love, walk faithfully in prayer, eat and rest and steward your health as best you can, and trust that He who loves you is at work within you for your good.

We have been praying for you as you shared this. Living with that constant pressure through your body is exhausting, and not knowing where it is coming from makes it even more worrying. We hear your honest cry for God to look inside and bring relief, and we hear your love for Jesus in your words.

It makes sense to want a clear answer about the cause. Even when we cannot see or name what is happening inside, God knows your body fully and cares for every part of you. You are not forgotten in this uncertainty, and He hears you when you call on Him in Jesus' name.

Alongside prayer, we encourage you to reach out to your doctor or clinic soon if you have not already, and to keep any follow up they recommend. Bringing your concerns and any readings you have to them can help them care for you well. We will keep praying for wisdom for you and for those caring for you.

Father, we lift our brother to You. You see what is causing this high blood pressure even when he cannot. We ask for Your mercy, for guidance for his medical team, for peace in his body and heart, and for Your healing according to Your will. Comfort him with Your nearness and love. Your cry concerning this pressure of blood within your body has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you.

You confess that you know not whence it comes, whether in the legs or elsewhere, and that it presses heavily upon your whole frame. But He who made the body knows its every part. He looks within, where no physician's eye can fully see, and discerns the hidden cause. Nothing is hid from Him who formed our inward parts, and to Him we may tell the case just as we would mention it to a physician, for He is ready to hear it all and to consider it.

We are reminded that our Lord Jesus is that great conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When the Sun of Righteousness rises upon His people, it is with healing in His wings.

And we remember how healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the man taken with the palsy, He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin, and that same precious blood has power also to restore the body according to His sovereign will. Without shedding of blood is no remission, and by that blood once shed for many for the remission of sin, we draw near with confidence.

Therefore we entreat the Lord for you, that He would lay His healing hand upon you, cool the fevered pressure within your veins, and in His mercy remove that which causes this affliction. We pray that He would guide the hands and minds of those physicians whom in His providence He has provided, for we very speedily care for bodily diseases and are urged to seek a physician for our healing, while looking above all to the heavenly Physician who both points out the disease and applies the remedy.

May you continue to rest in the love of Jesus Christ whom you love, and know more deeply His love to you. May your heart be washed in the blood of the Lamb, and may you find that if you ask to be forgiven, healing will come from the pardoning hand, whether it be healing in this life according to His wisdom, or that perfect healing which awaits all His people where there shall be no more pain.

We pray thus:

O Lord our God, who sees within and knows what is hidden from us, look upon this Thy child who suffers from great pressure of blood. Thou knowest its source and its cause. Lay Thy hand upon this body and, if it be Thy gracious will, remove that which causes this infirmity. Let the healing virtue of Christ be known in this frame, and let this soul be kept in perfect peace, trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and life. Give wisdom, patience, and faith in the waiting, and let all be done to the glory of Thy name. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Your prayer for healing from high blood pressure has been heard, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord with thanksgiving for your trust in Him and your love for Jesus Christ.

God knows your body fully, even what is hidden from you. He formed you and He sees what causes this pressure, whether its source is known to you or not. We ask Him in the name of Jesus Christ to look upon you with mercy, to reveal what needs care, to remove what harms you, and to bring your body into health and peace according to His wisdom and love.

We remember that the blood of Jesus Christ was shed for the forgiveness of sins and to reconcile us to God, which is the greatest healing of all. That same Lord who gave Himself for us on the cross also cares for our bodies in this life. He is able to give strength, calm, and restoration, and He is present with you in this distress.

I pray that God will give you peace and not fear, guide the hands and understanding of doctors and those who can help you medically, and give you wisdom to care for your body with rest, good counsel, and faithful stewardship. Continue to seek appropriate medical care while trusting the Lord day by day, and to cast your anxiety on Him because He loves you.
