Your prayer for relief from pain, illness and high blood pressure has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord with you.
We join you in asking our merciful Father for healing in your body, for the easing of pain, for the lowering of blood pressure, and for freedom from the symptoms that weigh on you. God sees what you are carrying and He is full of compassion toward those who call on Him. We ask Him to lay His healing hand upon you, to give wisdom to those who care for your health, and to grant you peace and strength each day.
We also want to encourage you with what Scripture teaches about where our deepest healing comes from. Under the old covenant the blood of bulls could only purify the flesh in an outward way, but the blood of Christ does far more. It was shed for the remission of sins and brings entire redemption, cleansing the soul and reconciling us to God. That is the first and greatest healing we need, and it is given freely through faith in Jesus Christ alone. When the soul is cleansed by His blood, we have peace with God even while we still live in a body that is subject to weakness and affliction.
It is understandable to want to declare that you are well and to want all battles and pain to be gone at once. God does not love you because you prove yourself a winner or because you declare yourself perfect. He loves you because you are His creation, and He draws near to you through Christ who bore our infirmities. Our confidence is not in our own strength to win to the top, but in Christ who has already won the victory over sin and death for us. In this life He often allows trials to remain for a time to form patience and trust, and He promises to be with us in them and to work all things for good for those who love Him.
So we pray not only for your body to be made well according to His gracious will, but also for a deeper work of His grace in your heart, that you would know the forgiveness and cleansing that comes only through the blood of Jesus, and that you would rest in His presence whether healing comes quickly or through a longer path. May He give you quiet trust, freedom from fear, and a steady hope that is anchored in Christ.
We will continue to pray for you, that the Lord in His mercy would relieve your pain, restore your health, calm your body, and above all keep you close to Himself.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, have mercy on this one who is suffering. Forgive sins through the blood of Your Son, grant healing as it pleases You, calm high blood pressure and take away pain, and fill this heart with Your peace and assurance. Amen.
