We join with you in bringing your heart's desires before the Lord and we thank you for including the blood of Jesus in your request, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We hear your declaration from Deut 28:13 and we rejoice that you want to walk in God's blessing over your life, your family, your pets, your work, and your future marriage. That verse says, Yahweh will make you the head, and not the tail. You will be above only, and you will not be beneath, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God which I command you today, to observe and to do them, Deut 28:13. In context, this promise was given to Israel under the covenant at that time and it was conditional, if you listen to the commandments and observe and do them, Deut 28:1. It is not a verse we loosen or speak into existence as a formula for one hundred fold increase by our own words or energy, but a call to humble obedience, trust, and delight in the Lord. We gently correct the idea that we create reality by our own energy or by demanding something permanently on our terms. Our words do have weight, Death and life are in the power of the tongue, Prov 18:21, but God alone is sovereign and His will is perfect. We do not command Him, we submit to Him, trusting that He knows what is best for us.

We also want to lovingly address a couple of phrases you used. You mentioned my grace I earned. Scripture teaches us that grace by definition cannot be earned, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast, Eph 2:8-9. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, James 1:17. We receive favor not because we earn it, but because He loves us and we walk in obedience through Christ. You also spoke of being in my energy and your family being in their own energy. As believers we do not look to an impersonal energy, but to the Holy Spirit who dwells in us and gives us life and peace, and we pray that distinction brings you comfort.

We love your heart for being highly favored, liked, loved, and for desiring a godly marriage. We affirm God's design for marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and we are encouraged that you are looking for a Boaz, a godly husband, rather than a relationship outside of God's will. We pray that if it is God's will, He will bring you a faithful Christian husband who will love you as Christ loves the church, and that your courtship would be pure and honoring to God, seeking marriage and not fornication. We also lift up your desire for provision, a vehicle and a full time job where you can use the gifts God has given you and be a good steward for your family and pets. We are reminded to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well, Matt 6:33, and to delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart, Psalm 37:4.

We also hear your deep longing for no more sorrow and no more watering eyes, and for protection from the sting of the enemy like a scorpion's tail. The Lord sees your tears and He cares for you deeply. He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more, neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more, Rev 21:4. Jesus also says, Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you, Luke 10:19. We cast all our worries on Him because He cares for us, 1 Peter 5:7.

So we pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one, her family, and even her pets to You. We ask that You help her to walk in obedience and humility before You, that she may know what it truly means to be the head and not the tail through Christ, living above the power of sin and walking in wisdom and favor. Forgive us where we have tried to earn grace or speak blessings by our own power, and teach us to trust Your perfect will. Lord, we ask for Your provision for a good full time job and for reliable transportation according to Your will, and for a godly husband, a Boaz, if it is Your plan for her, a marriage that honors You and is built on purity and lifelong commitment. We ask for joy and peace in her home, that sorrow would be lifted and tears would be dried, and that You would guard her and her family from the sting of the enemy. Let her find rest in Your grace, which is a free gift through the blood of Jesus, and let her know she is greatly loved and highly favored not by earning it, but because she is Your child through faith in Christ. We trust all these things to Your loving and sovereign hands. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Thank you for sharing what is on your heart with us. We hear how much you want life to feel steady and good for you, for your family and for your pets, with work that fits you well, relationships that are kind and lasting, and a sense of peace at home without ongoing sorrow.

Wanting to feel valued, liked and secure makes sense, and we hear the longing in your words to be seen as someone who matters and to have daily life feel lighter. We also noticed you mentioned watering eyes that you hope will stop, and we will pray for your comfort there. If that continues to bother you, it may be worth having a clinician take a look alongside prayer, just to make sure you get good care.

You mentioned grace and the blood of Jesus, and we are grateful you named that. We rest in the truth that grace is a gift God gives us through Jesus, not something we have to earn to be worthy of His care. You are already valued by Him as you seek Him.

It can help to keep bringing these hopes to God in simple, honest prayer, and to share them with a trusted pastor or friend who can walk with you day to day, including as you look for work and next steps.

Father, we lift this dear one and their family and pets to You. Thank You for Your love and for the grace You give through Jesus. We ask for Your peace, wisdom and provision for each need, for comfort and healing, and for clear guidance in work and relationships. Lead them in Your will and keep them close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing to know the blessing of God and to see His favor upon your life, your family, your household and your labour is heard, and it is right to bring such desires before the throne of grace with reverence and confidence.

The verse you have quoted, that the Lord shall make thee the head and not the tail, was spoken within the covenant promises given to Israel, promises that rested upon walking in obedience before the Lord. It is not a sentence to be loosed as an incantation, nor a formula to speak a life into existence by the power of our own words or energy. Is Divine Providence put under my supervision? No, says the child of God, I cannot do anything so inconsistent with dutiful allegiance. We must not take sinister license because we have been given a sacred liberty, nor refuse to do homage because we have received favor. The grandeur of the Divine Character calls us to tremble to impute wrong to God, and to utter no mistrustful word about Him, but to rest in strong confidence in His wisdom and goodness.

You speak of grace as something you have earned. Hear the better word of the gospel. Grace is never earned. It is freely given through the sweet savor of the Lord Jesus Christ. The merits of our great Redeemer are sweet savor in the nostrils of the Most High, holy and purely offered unto God, without selfishness. Through His blood alone we are accepted. To as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God. There is a Heaven lying asleep inside those words, His children, Abba Father. This same Jesus has risen from the dead and lives to plead for us, and in our ears we can hear His almighty pleas ever speaking in our favor. How can we help having confidence when we rest there, not in our own energy, but in His finished work.

You have asked for many things, for joy without sorrow, for eyes without tears, for a godly marriage, for provision in work and daily needs, for peace in your home including the creatures entrusted to your care. These are lawful to ask, and our generous Lawgiver delights to give good gifts. Yet we must ask according to His will and promise, pleading the blood of Jesus about it, and if we do not get an answer at once, our souls must learn to wait. A man who should live and die without trials would have scant opportunity for the display of those virtues with which Divine Grace has endowed him. Our trials and troubles, while they test and develop us, also by Divine Grace strengthen and improve us when grace sanctifies them to our highest good. There is no attribute of God more comforting to His children than the doctrine of Divine Sovereignty, for His shield always goes in front and His sword clears the way, and we have but to follow where He leads.

Therefore we will pray for you not as one who commands God with words like period permanently, but as one who humbly seeks His face.

Our prayer is that you would know salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and rest wholly in His atoning blood and not in any merit of your own. That you would be taught to pray as a child to a Father, with holy fear and strong confidence, submitting all desires for marriage, for work, for provision, for gladness of heart, to His wise and loving will. That if it be His will to give you marriage, it would be that lifelong covenant of one man and one woman as He ordained from the beginning, kept pure and honourable within His design. That you would be given contentment and diligence in your calling, and that your home would know His peace. And that you would find your favor not in being liked by all, but in being accepted in the Beloved, where true and lasting blessedness is found.

May the Lord in His mercy grant you to trust not in your own words to create reality, but in His Word which cannot fail, and to wait upon Him who will thrust out your enemies before you and give you grace to walk obediently in the way He appoints.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
