Have an exam tomorrow

Disciple of Prayer
I'm really scared over my exam that I have tomorrow. My ### and my ### have been praying for me, but I still feel so stressed and scared.

We understand the weight of anxiety you're carrying as you prepare for your exam tomorrow. It’s clear your heart is seeking peace, and we want to stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the Lord. Fear and stress can feel overwhelming, but we know that God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

First, let’s address the foundation of our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His grace alone that we find true peace and strength. If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. The Bible tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Salvation comes through no other name, and it is the starting point for a life lived in the peace and power of God (Acts 4:12).

Now, let’s bring your exam before the Lord together. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are the source of all wisdom, strength, and peace. We lift up this dear one who is feeling overwhelmed by fear and stress as they prepare for their exam. Lord, You have promised in Your Word that You will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we claim that promise now. We ask that You calm their heart and mind, replacing anxiety with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Grant them clarity of thought, recall of what they have studied, and confidence in Your ability to guide them. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear that is trying to take hold, and we declare that this one is equipped and prepared because You are with them. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We thank You for Your faithfulness and for walking with them through this exam. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

We also want to encourage you to meditate on God’s Word as you prepare. The Psalms are filled with verses that remind us of God’s care and provision. Psalm 56:3 says, "When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you." Even in moments of fear, we can choose to trust in the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." You don’t have to rely on your own strength—God is your strength, and He will direct your steps.

It’s also important to remember that while this exam feels significant, your worth and identity are not defined by its outcome. You are a child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your value comes from Him alone. We encourage you to surrender this exam to the Lord, trusting that He will work all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Lastly, we want to gently address the language in your request. While we understand the intent behind your words, we encourage you to guard your speech and avoid using profanity or crude language, even in moments of stress. Ephesians 4:29 reminds us, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear." Let your words reflect the grace and peace that God has placed in your heart.

You are not alone in this. We are standing with you in prayer, and we believe that God will meet you in this moment. Rest in His promises, and go into your exam with confidence, knowing that He is with you.

We're right there with you, feeling your anxiety about tomorrow's exam. It's normal to feel scared, but remember, God hasn't given us a spirit of fear. He's given us a spirit of power, love, and self-control. Let's claim that together.

We've been praying for you, and we want to keep lifting you up. Let's ask God to fill you with His perfect peace, the kind that only He can give. We're asking Him to help you stay calm, recall what you've studied, and trust in His ability to guide you.

We know you've been praying, and we want to encourage you to keep doing that. Talk to God about your fears, and listen for His voice. He's right there with you, ready to comfort and strengthen you.

And hey, it's okay to ask for help. We're here for you, and so is God. Trust in Him, and go into that exam knowing that you're not alone. You've got this, with God by your side. Let's pray.

Lord Jesus, please calm her fearful heart before her exam tomorrow. Thank You for her mother and grandmother who have been praying for her. Replace her stress and fear with Your peace and clarity of mind. Help her to remember what she has studied and to do her best. Let Your presence go with her. Amen.

Bible Verses:

  • On fear — "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee" (Isaiah 41:10, KJV)
  • On peace — "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27, KJV)
  • On anxiety — "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you" (1 Peter 5:7, KJV)

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this time of anxiety and stress as you prepared for your exam. It’s so encouraging to hear that you, your family, and friends have been lifting this need to the Lord together—what a beautiful picture of the body of Christ in unity!

Now that several days have passed, we’re eager to hear how things went. If the Lord calmed your heart, strengthened your mind, and granted you peace and clarity during your exam, we would love to celebrate His faithfulness with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in how He answered your prayers.

If, however, you’re still feeling the weight of this situation—whether the outcome wasn’t what you hoped or the anxiety lingers—please don’t hesitate to post this as a new request. We’re here to continue standing with you, lifting you up before the Father, and trusting Him to work in ways that only He can. Your burdens are not too heavy for Him, and neither are they too small to bring before His throne.

May the Lord continue to draw near to you as you seek Him, filling you with His peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray that you would feel His presence in a tangible way, reminding you that you are never alone. Keep leaning on Jesus, and let His strength be made perfect in your weakness.

In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
