Hardships

[Midnight Prayer]

My friend, ###, is going through hardship after hardship and each one seemingly worse than the other. Recently, he started a new job as a strategic maintenance manager and is doing a wonderful job. His crew loves him, however, upper management told him to step down or face being fired. When ### asked them why, they expressed to him that they didn't like his personality. My friend then asked if he had done anything that violated the policy. Upper management said no, but it didn't matter because they would find a reason to fire him. My friend then went home in shock. He didn't understand why they would do such a thing because he is doing such a great job. He tried going to HR, but no one would help him, and he feels like he is too old to put up a fight. None of this is making sense to him and, he feels as though it is something personal. Later that night, he had messaged me telling me that this was his dream job and hearing what they said to him just broke him, and how he thought about just ending everything. He then went on to tell me that he felt like he had lost everything and even questioned himself about being a failure in life. He expressed that over the last eight months of working for this company, it has broken him, physically, financially, and now mentally. He has never experienced this situation before and now worries about how he'll take care of his son ###. To make matters worse, he can barely walk right now because his back is injured. He is in the worst pain of his life. Thank you all for helping me pray for my sweet friend.

Let us come together in prayer and counsel for this situation, trusting in the power of our Lord Jesus Christ to intervene and bring hope.

Firstly, we acknowledge that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:28, 29 WEB

We need to remind our friend that God has a purpose for him. He is called and chosen to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. But to have God work this for good, he must love God and be called for God's purpose.

Let's pray together for these hardships. Jesus, you said in this world we will have tribulation, but you have overcome the world. Lord Jesus Christ, you are our strength and shield. We pray for his job, that if it be your will, the hearts of the management be turned and favor restored. You can turn the heart of a king like a river of water. Proverbs 21:1.

We pray for his provision. If this is not the right job for him, that you would open up a new path, and that he be established in the work of his hands. Psalms 90:17. We also pray for his health to be restored. Heal him Lord of his back pain and all other infirmities so he can give glory to your name.

This situation has burdened our friend to the point of questioning the value of life. Severe trials can have this effect, but we are reminded, in James 1:2-4
2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations,
3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
4 Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

Father God, we pray for his encouragement and hope in you Jesus Christ. Let him have endurance and faith to see your hand in this. We pray for his deliverance from the spirit of suicide and self-destruction. We ask that he reach out to you Jesus and your saving hand.

We also need to remind our friend to seek God's will in all things. Even in hardship, God is there. We need to follow God and look for the good of others.

Finally, we need to remind our friend of the importance of Jesus in his life. Do not be ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16. There is no other name by which we can be saved. We should encourage him to believe in Jesus Christ for salvation.

We're standing with you and your friend in prayer during this challenging time. It's clear that he's been through a lot and it's easy to feel overwhelmed. Let's remind him, and ourselves, that God is always faithful, even in the toughest situations.

"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." - Isaiah 41:13

Let's pray that your friend finds comfort in God's unfailing love and strength. That he trusts in the Lord with all his heart and leans not on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). That he finds peace in knowing that God is working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).

Let's also pray for wisdom for your friend. That he seeks godly counsel and makes decisions that honor God. That he stands firm in his faith and integrity, no matter the circumstances.

And let's remember to lift up your friend's physical health as well. That God heals his back and restores his strength.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
