Hard time

We hear your heart in this and we understand how exhausting it can feel when a hard time drags on and waiting feels endless. We have all felt that weariness where the day seems to stretch on with no relief and no answer in sight. The Word tells us that hard times and seasons of waiting are part of our walk with God and He uses them to shape us, even when we hate the discomfort. Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4

We want to encourage you that waiting on the Lord is not wasted time, even when you are tired of waiting all day. God is at work while we wait and He gives strength to the weary. We are reminded wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh. Psalm 27:14 and those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 and Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. Lamentations 3:25. Jesus Himself invites the weary to find rest when waiting feels heavy, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. We encourage you not to grow bitter in the waiting but to turn the waiting into seeking Him through prayer, reading His Word, and resting in His presence, trusting that He will act in His perfect timing. Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true peace and salvation. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we can bring every hard time and every tired moment to God with confidence.

We pray together for you now. Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the hard time they are walking through and how tired they are of waiting all day. We ask You to renew their strength and give them Your peace that surpasses understanding. Help them to wait on You with courage and hope, knowing that You are good and faithful and that You work all things for good for those who love You. Teach them to rest in You, to cast all their cares on You, and to find joy and endurance even in this trial. Draw them closer to Jesus and let them know the comfort of Your presence today. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear how exhausting this feels for you. Waiting all day when you are already having a hard time can make every hour feel longer, and it makes sense you would feel tired and worn down by it.

Sometimes when we are stuck watching the clock, the waiting itself becomes heavier than the hard thing we are waiting through. It can help to gently break up the day so you are not holding your breath the whole time. One small thing that helps many people is to give the day a little structure while you wait, picking one simple, doable thing for the morning and one for the afternoon, stepping outside for a few minutes, or letting one trusted person know you are having a hard day so you are not carrying the wait alone.

You don't have to figure everything out today. Noticing that you are tired is important, and being kind to yourself in that tiredness matters.

Father, we bring our friend to You in this hard and tiring wait. You see how weary they are and how long the day feels. Give them a little rest today, quiet their thoughts, and remind them they are not alone. Show them Your nearness and give them wisdom for the next step. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

The weariness of waiting is itself a sore trial, and to be tired all the day long makes the heart faint. Yet this very waiting, which now feels so heavy, is the place where the Lord meets His people.

Remember that you have a waiting God. Therefore will the Lord wait, that He may be gracious unto you. He waits to be gracious, with singular patience, and His patience toward His chosen is not in vain. When everything else has broken down, we find Him still lovingly waiting, ready to pardon, ready to show mercy. His waiting shall turn to a glorious transaction of grace upon the soul that waits on Him.

Hear then the word of the Psalmist, My soul, wait thou only upon God. Calvin renders it, My soul, be thou silent before God. Rest calm and undisturbed. The right kind of waiting is to hang upon nothing but the promise of God, and to have no other support but that, floating as it were in the ether of confidence, needing nothing to uphold you but the right hand of the Majesty on high. They that wait upon the Lord shall not want any good thing. Though you should tread upon what seems like hell itself at the next step, yet if God bids you tread there, it shall be heaven to you while you wait only upon Him.

And take courage from this word also, Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart, wait, I say, on the Lord. Waiting upon God sustains courage. It is the way to renew your strength until you mount up with eagles wings and leave the world below. For in waiting, there comes a mysterious strength through the incoming of the Eternal Spirit into the soul. Your heart is strengthened not by your own resolve, but by His gracious presence.

So be not cast down because the day has seemed long. Pray for the patience of waiting His will, saying, Let Him do what seemeth Him good. Though it be for months or for years, wait on. Christ is glorified by our patience. He delights to direct your heart into the love of God and into the patient waiting for Christ.

May the Lord now strengthen your heart as you wait. May He give you to be silent before Him, to rest in His love, and to find that while you wait, He is waiting to be gracious unto you, and will in His own good time lift you up and renew your strength for His glory.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Hearing that you are tired from waiting all day in the middle of a hard time is understandable, and God sees that weariness. Waiting itself can feel like an affliction, especially when the hours stretch long and strength runs low.

Scripture teaches that hope and patience belong together. We are saved by hope, and hope that is seen is not hope. If we hope for what we do not yet see, then we wait for it with patience. God has promised good things that are greater than what we can receive in a single day, and He gave those promises beforehand to refresh our souls and strengthen our zeal while we wait. He does not leave you to wait alone, but comforts and steadies the wearied heart through His Word.

Patience is not shown in two or three days, but over much time, and it often grows in the very place of affliction. To love God in a hard season is to endure and not be troubled in heart, even when the day feels long. Christ Himself showed that patience when He endured for our sake, and He is patient with us as we learn to wait for Him and to be prepared for His help.

The Scriptures were given so that through endurance and comfort we might have hope. Patience produces hope and hope sustains patience, and both are formed in us as we stay near to what God has said.

I will pray that God will give you renewed strength today, quietness for your tired heart, and grace to hold firm to hope unto the end. May He lift your weariness, guard you from discouragement, and help you to wait with patience, trusting that He is at work even in this long day and will not fail to keep His promises.
