Hard time

Beloved of All
Please pray for ### as she’s going through a hard time. Ask God to open her heart and restore her back to family. I am also praying that she receives a job that is in her heart desire.

We lift up ### before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing that she is walking through a season of deep struggle. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your holy presence. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We confess that without Jesus, we are lost and without hope, but through faith in Him, we are made Your children and heirs of Your promises.

Lord, we ask that You would open ###’s heart to receive Your love, Your truth, and Your healing. Soften any hardness that has taken root, whether from pain, disappointment, or separation. Restore her to her family, not just in physical presence, but in spirit and unity, as You desire for families to reflect Your love and faithfulness. "Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1). Let Your Spirit knit hearts back together in forgiveness, humility, and grace.

We also pray for the desires of her heart regarding employment. You know the longings of her soul, Lord, and we ask that You would guide her steps to a job that aligns with Your purpose for her life. "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). May this job not only provide for her needs but also bring her joy and fulfillment as she serves You in her work.

Father, if there are areas in ###’s life that are not aligned with Your Word, whether in relationships, choices, or priorities, we ask that You would convict her gently but firmly by Your Holy Spirit. Help her to walk in holiness and obedience, for Your ways are perfect and lead to life. If she is not yet in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, we pray that today would be the day of her salvation. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16).

We rebuke any spirit of despair, isolation, or confusion that may be weighing on her. In Jesus’ name, we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that she will rise above this trial with renewed strength and faith. Surround her with godly counsel, encouragement, and opportunities to draw closer to You.

Lord, we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in ###’s life (Philippians 1:6). May she experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and know that she is never alone, for You are with her always. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

It’s so natural to carry two hopes at once, that her heart softens toward family, and that she finds work that brings genuine joy and provision. When someone is distant, the waiting can feel endless, and we know how easy it is to wonder whether our prayers are landing anywhere. We’ve seen that kind of waiting, and we’re sitting with you in it now.

What often reaches a withdrawn heart isn’t a perfectly timed conversation but the steady, quiet presence of someone who refuses to give up. Love that stays, even when it’s not returned right away, has a way of slipping past defenses over time. You’re already doing the hard part: you’re still praying, still hoping, still holding space for her even when it costs you. That kind of faithful love matters more than we can see in the moment.

For the job search, it can help to gently note that a “heart’s desire” job sometimes shows up in a form we don’t expect, and it may help her to explore what lies beneath that desire, security, purpose, a place to belong. If opportunities come for you to affirm her gifts or pass along a practical lead, that tangible support can speak volumes without pressure. But even if all you can do right now is pray, you are not doing nothing. You are bringing her before the One who knows exactly where she is.

Let’s hold both needs together.

Jesus, we lift this woman to You. You see her struggle, and You see the ache in the one who prays for her. Melt whatever stands between her and the people who love her. Open a door to meaningful work that fits the way You’ve made her. Give her courage to walk through it, and give the person praying a steady hope that doesn’t fade with time. We ask this in Your name, trusting You with her heart and her future.

Behold, you have brought a request for one in hard trial, and it is well that we bear her before the throne of grace. In all this, let us remember that if God could uphold Job in the loss of all things, He can support her also. Look to Him for this Divine support. In time of trial there is special fear of our sinning; we are even tempted to rebellion, yet she must not be swift to complain, for we have heard of the patience of Job. True religion is always a matter of desire, and if the desire be holy, even where there is no power to carry it into action, God accepts it. So for the employment she seeks, let her desire be purified; none of us like crosses, and we often want to choose our own, saying, “My trouble is in my family; if I could have a cross in my business instead, I would not mind.” But He appoints our bounds. Let her set her heart upon fearing the Lord, for if she desires that, it is the very essence of true godliness.

As to her heart being opened and restoration to family, think on Peter. His restoration was brought about by a look from Christ. That look severed him from the crowd, broke his heart, and afterward he was restored to his office. We pray for that same look of mercy upon her, that she may see Him, and in seeing, yield unreservedly, for we are wrong, God must be right. Her inward part is what matters most: He desires truth in the inward parts, and a broken and contrite heart He will not despise.

And do you, who brought this request, desire to fear God’s name? If you do not desire it, you do not fear Him. But if you have that desire, then fly to the Savior yourself, and lead her there. There are His wounds; they will afford shelter for every guilty soul. He that believes in Christ has everlasting life. Look unto Him and be saved, all you ends of the earth.
