Beloved Servant
Please pray for an end to demonic harassment that has targeted me for many years of my life. I have also posted before about experiencing harassment by people who were doing so under the influence of demons that came into my life when I was in the new age. Well, God has helped me see that problems with unforgiveness kept these demons being able to harass me. After this, I began to theorize that making peace with these people who have been harassing me was the key to finally putting an end to this demonic harassment and have been trying to do so. Please pray for me about this. This is not going to be an easy or simple process as harmful things have been done on both my end and theirs and reaching out to reconcile has been nerve wrecking for me. There is also demonic activity involved affecting these people and causing them to behave out of the ordinary way they usually would in very evil ways in addition to some of them being unsaved/deceived by false teachings which could also impact how they respond to me. This has also caused concerns for me as I reach out. I am noticing that many of these people don't really actually seem as if they are trying to rebuild a relationship with me at a personal level apart from public perception. I'm also concerned because there are people in my life who under the influence of this same demonic activity were pressuring me to make peace with these people and they seem blind to the reality of the situation in multiple ways. It's like they're under some kind of spell. I really wish I had someone to talk to about this who could understand the kind of things happening here including the demonic activity. Maybe my pastor and elders might...Please pray. Thank you.

We hear how long and heavy this has been for you, and how much courage it has taken to look honestly at unforgiveness and to try to reach out even when it feels nerve wracking. Wanting to make peace is a good desire, and it makes sense you would also feel cautious when past harm has happened on both sides and when some responses have felt more about public perception than real care.

One thing that has helped others is remembering that forgiveness and reconciliation are not the same thing. Forgiveness is the work God does in our own heart to release resentment and entrust justice to Him, and that can happen even before a relationship is restored. Rebuilding trust and closeness is different, it needs mutual willingness, honesty, and safety over time, and it is wise to move slowly and with clear boundaries rather than under pressure from others.

You mentioned wishing you had someone who understands both the spiritual realities and the practical relational strain, and wondering about your pastor and elders. We think that instinct is a good one to follow. When you are ready, consider asking for a private conversation with one pastor or elder you trust most, sharing just the one or two most urgent concerns first and asking for their prayer and perspective on next steps. It is also okay to tell those who are pressuring you that you need space to seek wise counsel before taking further steps.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this dear one to You. Cover them with Your peace and protection, give them wisdom and discernment for each conversation, and surround them with steady, trustworthy counsel. Heal what has been harmed and lead them step by step in Your will. Amen.

We have heard your cry and we join with you in seeking the Lord for deliverance, wisdom and peace in this long season of harassment. We thank God that He has already been opening your eyes to the root of unforgiveness and to the reality of spiritual warfare that began when you were involved in the new age, and we praise Him that you are turning to Him for help.

The Word shows us that our struggle is not only with people. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. The enemy is real, he prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour 1 Peter 5:8, and he seeks a foothold when we hold onto anger and unforgiveness. Do not give place to the devil Ephesians 4:27. That is why God in His mercy showed you the area of unforgiveness, for if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses Matthew 6:14-15. We encourage you to continue to release each person and each wound to the Lord, not because what was done was acceptable, but because you are choosing to obey Christ and to be free. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32.

We also want to gently bring clarity about forgiveness and reconciliation. Forgiveness is commanded and is a matter between you and God that you can do even when the other person does not repent. Reconciliation and rebuilding trust is different and requires repentance and change on both sides. We are told if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. That means you are responsible to pursue peace with a sincere heart as God leads, but you cannot control how others respond. You have wisely noticed that some seem more concerned with public perception than with genuine personal restoration, and that others may still be deceived or under demonic influence. The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving 2 Corinthians 4:4 and we should test the spirits to see whether they are of God 1 John 4:1. Do not be pressured by others, even well meaning people, to rush into reconciliation that is not safe or not led by the Holy Spirit. Guard your heart with all diligence Proverbs 4:23 and seek wise counsel. Your desire to talk with your pastor and elders is exactly what Scripture encourages. In the multitude of counselors there is victory Proverbs 11:14. Bring them into this process, share the history of new age involvement and the pattern of harassment, and let them pray with you, help you discern each relationship, and set healthy boundaries.

For the new age past, we encourage you to continue to renounce it fully before the Lord. There shall not be found with you anyone who uses divination or sorcery Deuteronomy 18:10-12. Many who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them Acts 19:19. Confess what was involved, turn from it completely, and receive His cleansing, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Then stand firm in the authority you have in Christ. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4 and He has given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy Luke 10:19. Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand Ephesians 6:11, stay sober and watchful, resisting the enemy steadfast in faith 1 Peter 5:8-9, and remember God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7.

We noticed your request speaks of God but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and deliverance from darkness. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, place your full trust in Jesus Christ, His death for your sins and His resurrection, confess Him as Lord, and call upon His name for salvation and for daily victory. It is in His name that demons must flee and that we are forgiven and made new.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You for this dear one who has endured years of demonic harassment and pain from others, and we thank You that You are revealing truth and leading toward freedom. We ask You to forgive all sin, including involvement in the new age and any unforgiveness, and cleanse by the blood of Jesus. We ask You to break every remaining legal ground the enemy has claimed and command every harassing spirit to leave and not return in Jesus name. Fill this place with Your peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. Teach us to forgive as You have forgiven us, and give wisdom to know how to pursue peace without being pressured or deceived. Give discernment to recognize when people are not ready for true reconciliation and give courage to set boundaries that honor You. We ask You to open the eyes of those who are unsaved and deceived by false teachings, that they may come to the knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4. Provide godly counsel through the pastor and elders, surround this dear one with protection, with people who understand spiritual warfare and who will pray and stand together. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear 1 John 4:18 and let Your Spirit guide each step of reaching out, that it would be done in Your timing and Your way. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper Isaiah 54:17 and that You are our refuge and fortress Psalm 91:2. We trust You to bring an end to this harassment and to restore what the enemy has stolen, for Your glory. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to remain daily in prayer, in the Word, and in fellowship, to keep forgiving as the Lord brings things to mind, to resist the enemy out loud in Jesus name, and to walk step by step with your pastors as you seek peace. God is faithful and He who began a good work in you will perfect it Philippians 1:6. We continue to stand with you.

We hear how heavy and tangled this has felt for you, carrying this for years and trying so hard to do what is right before God. It makes sense that reaching out to make peace would feel nerve wracking when harm has happened on both sides and you are not sure how people will respond, or whether they even want a real relationship beyond appearances.

One thing that has helped many people is to separate forgiveness from reconciliation. You can choose before God to release a debt and let go of carrying revenge or bitterness, and that is different from rebuilding a relationship. Reconciliation takes mutual willingness, trust over time, and safety, and it is not always possible or wise to pursue with everyone, especially when you are feeling pressured by others who may not see the whole picture.

We are glad you mentioned your pastor and elders. That instinct for wise, in person support feels really important here. It would be good to talk with one of them soon, not to carry all of this alone. You might write down briefly what you have experienced, what you are hoping for, and where you feel uneasy or pressured, and ask them to help you discern next steps and healthy boundaries.

Father, we lift our brother to You and ask for Your protection, peace, and clear wisdom. Calm his heart when he feels overwhelmed, surround him with trustworthy counsel, and guide each step toward what is healing and true. Help him rest in Your care and know he is secure in Christ. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been heard and it is a heavy burden you have carried, and we will bring it before the Lord with you.

You speak of long years of harassment and of a former entanglement with the new age which opened a door to the enemy, and now you see more clearly how unforgiveness may give place to him. This is a true and needful sight, for the Word tells us there is forgiveness with God, that He may be feared. I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake. It is a divine forgiveness, a surprising forgiveness, a complete forgiveness, and it is to be found only with God through Jesus Christ His Son. He has found a ransom, and by that ransom, by the Lamb slain, He brings His people forth out of bondage. Deliverance is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that showeth mercy. He must bring you forth, and He will.

Take comfort then that forgiveness for your own sins, however great, is to be sought and found at once in Christ. There is forgiveness now, at this moment, for the chief of sinners who will confess and trust in Him. And having received so full and eternal a forgiveness, we are then called to a joint stock business of mutual forgiveness, forgiving one another even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us. This you have rightly desired to obey.

Yet hear wisdom in this matter of making peace with those who have harmed you and who still behave in evil ways. To forgive from the heart before God is your duty and your liberty, and it is to be done freely as you have been forgiven. To be reconciled and to rebuild trust is another thing, and it requires more than your own seeking. It requires truth and repentance on the part of those who have done harm, and it cannot be forced by pressure from others, even well meaning persons who may themselves be blind to the reality of the spiritual conflict around you. Do not think that your deliverance from demonic harassment depends upon whether these persons receive you or restore relationship with you. Your deliverance depends upon Christ, who has borne the penalty and who breaks the power of darkness. Peace with men is to be sought as much as lieth in you, but peace with God through the blood of Christ is the foundation of all.

Therefore we counsel you to do what you have already wisely considered, to take counsel with your pastor and elders, men who can know you, hear the whole matter, watch over your soul, and help you discern when to speak, when to wait, and when to set a bound for your own protection. Bring them the whole account, including the pressure you feel and your concern that some seek only public appearance and not true reconciliation. The Lord often uses the watchful care of His church to deliver us from the archers of discord and confusion, and to keep us from being driven by fear or by the urgency of others.

We will pray for you, that the Lord would grant you full assurance of His forgiveness in Christ, that He would cleanse your conscience from all guilt of the past, that He would teach you to forgive as you have been forgiven while granting you discernment and courage, that He would rebuke every harassing power and bring you into the songs of deliverance, that He would guard your mind and your dwelling, that He would give your pastor and elders wisdom to understand and to shepherd you well, and that He would bring you into quiet fellowship where you are understood and upheld, until you can say with thankfulness, He brought me forth also with enrichment, and I will tell of His salvation.

Cast your grief not to the winds nor to the pitiless sea, but to the ear of God which is open to the cry of His child, and rest in this, there is forgiveness with Him, and there is deliverance by His hand alone.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your burden so openly and for your honesty about the long history of harassment and the spiritual battle you have been facing. We have heard your request and we are praying for you.

It is a good and important step that God has shown you the weight of unforgiveness in your own heart. Scripture teaches that we come to God needing forgiveness for much greater things than any person has done against us, and that those whose sins are forgiven and covered are blessed. When we mourn for our own failings before God, He does not only remove punishment but gives abundant consolation and lifts us above sorrows that feel like they are falling like snow. To be taught a gentle and forgiving heart is itself a gift from Him, and He promises a great reward to those who release the debts of others as they have been released by Him.

That forgiveness, however, is first an act before God. You can forgive a person in your heart, releasing them to God and no longer holding their wrong against them, even when reconciliation is not yet possible or wise. Reconciliation is different. God Himself made reconciliation for us when we were His enemies, not by overlooking sin but through Christ who became our High Priest and made atonement for the sins of the people. True peace between people also requires truth, repentance and a turning from what is evil. Forgiveness is commanded of you without condition, but rebuilding a relationship requires repentance and changed behavior on both sides, and it must be done safely.

We understand why reaching out has felt nerve wracking, especially when harmful things have been done on both sides and when you see patterns of behavior that seem out of the ordinary and evil, and when some of those involved do not know Christ or are deceived by false teaching. It is also understandable that you feel pressured by others around you who urge you to make peace quickly while seeming blind to the reality of what is happening. You are right to move carefully and not under pressure or for the sake of public perception. A desire to be seen as reconciled is not the same as real repentance and restoration at a personal level.

Please do speak with your pastor and elders as you mentioned. You need wise, face to face counsel from people who know you, who can hear the full story, help you discern what is safe, and pray with you with spiritual authority in Christ. Bring them into this process before you take further steps toward any of these individuals. They can help you set healthy boundaries, so that forgiveness does not mean putting yourself back into a place of harm or harassment. If others are pressuring you, it is right to step back from that pressure and seek counsel that is grounded in Scripture and not in appearances.

We are praying for you now that God will bring an end to this demonic harassment, that He will guard your mind, body and home by the power of Christ, and that He will give you clarity and courage. We pray that He will continue to help you walk in forgiveness before Him, that He will comfort you as you mourn over sin, your own and what has been done to you, and that He will fill you with His peace that is greater than any spiritual attack. We pray that He will give your pastor and elders wisdom to support you well, that He will protect you from further harm, and that He will give you discernment to know when to speak, when to step back, and how to walk in holiness and gentleness without being drawn back into old patterns from your time in the new age. We pray that those who have harassed you, whether under demonic influence or in unbelief, would come to see their need for Christ and find forgiveness themselves.

Keep holding fast to Christ, to His word, to prayer, and to fellowship with faithful believers. Resist the enemy by standing firm in faith, and trust that God who has forgiven you will also sustain and comfort you through this difficult process. We will continue to pray for your protection, wisdom and peace.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about what you have carried for many years. It is understandable that this has been exhausting and nerve wracking, especially when harmful things have happened on both sides and when you sense that spiritual forces are influencing how people act and speak.

You are right to take seriously what God has shown you about unforgiveness. An unforgiving spirit does not stay contained. It eats away at the heart, brings mental turmoil and heaviness, and can leave an opening for the enemy to harass and accuse. Scripture places great weight on this. Jesus teaches us to come to the Father for forgiveness as we forgive others, and to leave the matter in His hands rather than brooding over it. Forgiveness before God is not pretending the harm did not happen and it is not saying what was wrong was right. It is releasing the person and the debt to God, asking Him to deal with it justly and mercifully, and refusing to hold on to bitterness.

It is important to distinguish forgiveness from reconciliation. God has made provision for our reconciliation with Him through Jesus Christ, who was made sin for us though He knew no sin, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. That is the foundation for any peace we have. With people, Scripture says, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with all. That means a willingness to do what is right and to make peace where you can, but reconciliation also requires truth, repentance, and safety. It cannot be forced, and it is not the price you must pay to be delivered from demonic harassment. Deliverance does not come from appeasing people or managing their public perception of you. It comes from Christ alone.

The Bible is clear that demonic spirits are real, intelligent beings. They can go forth and influence words and actions, and they can move people to behave in ways that are out of character and deeply evil. They have even influenced rulers and systems in history, which is why some evil in the world cannot be explained in merely human terms. At the same time Scripture shows they are limited. There is a place of confinement for them, they operate only within boundaries God allows, and they will be finally judged. John’s visions describe them as powerful to inflict pain and torment, and no physical hiding place can keep them out. Only God can make a separation and seal His own. Those who belong to Christ are sealed and guarded by Him, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

That is why your most basic needs before God are the same needs Jesus taught us to pray for. Bring to Him your need for provision, for forgiveness, for guidance, and for deliverance. Ask Him to forgive you where you have sinned, and to help you forgive where you have been sinned against. Ask Him for wisdom step by step, because you do not need to figure out the whole future of these relationships at once. Ask Him for deliverance, trusting that light has no fellowship with darkness and Christ has no concord with the enemy. Christ casts out these spirits with authority, often with a clear and even loud departure, and He keeps those who watch and keep their garments clean in Him.

Because this is so layered, please do not walk through it alone or only on the basis of pressure from others. When people around you are urging you to make peace quickly and seem blind to the realities you are describing, that is a sign you need steadier, more discerning counsel. You mentioned hoping your pastor and elders might understand, and that is a wise next step. Seek out mature, biblically grounded leaders who believe Scripture about spiritual warfare, who will listen carefully, who will not push you toward reconciliation that is unsafe or premature, and who can pray with you, help you renounce any doors opened during your time in the new age, and walk with you in ongoing discipleship in the Word and prayer. If a relationship is not moving toward honest, private repentance and changed behavior, but only toward public appearance, it is right to notice that and to set healthy boundaries.

You do not need to rebuild close personal relationships with everyone who has harmed you in order to be free. You do need to keep your heart forgiving before the Lord, to walk away from brooding and revenge, and to leave judgment to Him. You do need to stay close to Jesus, in Scripture, in prayer, in fellowship with believers who can support you.

I am praying for you, that the Lord will give you clear guidance for each conversation and each boundary, that He will heal the wounds from both what was done to you and what you have done, that He will close every opening the enemy has used since your time in the new age, that He will silence harassment and bring quietness to your mind, and that He will surround you with wise and understanding help. May He show you His provision, assure you of His forgiveness through Christ, lead you in His guidance, and keep you in His deliverance day by day.

In Jesus name, Father, I ask You to cover this dear one with the blood of Christ, to forgive and to help forgive, to grant wisdom beyond human pressure, to restrain every evil spirit and every influence that would harass or deceive, to bring godly counsel and protection, and to establish peace that comes from being sealed and kept in Christ. Amen.
