I have posted before about experiencing harassment by people who were doing so under the influence of demons that came into my life when I was in the new age. Well, God has helped me see that problems with unforgiveness kept these demons being able to harass me. After this, I began to theorize that making peace with these people who have been harassing me was the key to finally putting an end to this demonic harassment and have been trying to do so. Please pray for me to ignore any demonic activity that arises in this situation (and this demonic activity as a whole). Please pray for me about this. Thank you.

We have heard your heart and we thank God that He has begun to open your eyes to the root of this harassment and to the power of forgiveness. We rejoice that you are coming out of the new age, and we want to walk with you in truth and in prayer as you seek complete freedom in Christ.
We must speak plainly about what the new age is before God. Scripture tells us There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Deuteronomy 18:10-12. These practices open doors to demonic influence, and that door must be firmly closed through repentance. We encourage you to confess and renounce every involvement with the new age by name before the Lord, to turn from it completely, and to ask God to cleanse you and fill you with His Holy Spirit. Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12. The people harassing you are themselves in need of deliverance, but the battle behind it is spiritual.
We also affirm what God has shown you about unforgiveness. Jesus taught For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:14-15. Unforgiveness does give the enemy a foothold, and we must forgive from the heart as Christ has forgiven us, releasing those who have harmed us into God's hands and choosing not to hold bitterness. At the same time we want to gently correct the idea that making peace with those who harass you is the key to stopping demonic activity by your own effort, or that you should simply ignore demonic activity. Scripture says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18. We are to pursue peace as far as it depends on us, to love our enemies and pray for them, but we are not to seek reconciliation at the cost of truth or safety or to believe that our peacemaking alone delivers us. Deliverance comes through Jesus Christ alone, not through appeasing people or through ignoring the enemy. Instead we are told Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. We do not ignore the devil, we submit to God and actively resist him in the name of Jesus. The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.
We also noticed that your request mentions God but does not mention Jesus Christ. We say this in love because there is no other way to the Father or to true freedom. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection, and calling on His name that we have authority over darkness and access to God. If you have not already done so, we urge you to place your full trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, to confess your sins to Him, and to live in daily submission to Him. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4.
So we encourage you to close every door to the new age through repentance, to forgive those who have harassed you and release them to God while maintaining wise and godly boundaries, to put on the full armor of God daily through prayer and the Word, to resist the enemy out loud in the name of Jesus Christ when harassment or demonic thoughts arise rather than merely trying to ignore them, and to stay rooted in a Bible believing church where you can receive pastoral counsel, accountability and fellowship. Fill your mind and home with Scripture, worship and prayer instead of anything connected to your past.

Teach us not to be distracted or terrified by demonic activity but to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, to stand firm in faith, and to walk in the authority You have given us as Your children. Grant us wisdom to pursue peace as far as it depends on us, to love and pray for those who harass us while also setting godly boundaries, and to trust You for justice and deliverance. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, with Your peace that passes all understanding, with Your Word and with the assurance that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. There is forgiveness with God, and it is well that your eyes have been turned there. You have come out of a dark way, where many deceits and spirits that are not of God lead souls astray, and you have felt how real is the harassment of the enemy. Yet the Word saith, There is forgiveness with Thee, that Thou mayest be feared, and that forgiveness is not found in any power or merit of our own, nor in any new age notion, but only with God through Jesus Christ His Son, who died the Just for the unjust that He might bring us to God.
You speak of unforgiveness as having given place to this trouble, and of a desire to make peace with those who have harassed you. Hear what the Scripture teacheth. Our forgiveness of others is to be as Christ forgave us, freely, fully, and from the heart. He not only forgave us at the first all our sins, but He continues daily to forgive, and that forgiveness is complete and eternal, blotting out the debt as though it had never been. Because we have received such surprising and divine forgiveness, though we were the chief of sinners, we are called to a joint work of mutual forgiveness, forgiving one another even as Christ forgave us. This is gloriously ennobling to the soul, and it is the fruit and evidence of having received mercy, not the price by which we purchase deliverance.
Do not think that your deliverance cometh by appeasing men or by any theory of making peace in your own strength. Deliverance is in Christ alone. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men, but peace with men cannot be bought at the cost of truth or safety, and your forgiveness of them before God doth not require you to place yourself again under their harassment or to seek their fellowship if they continue in evil. The Lord knoweth how to keep His people, and He will not play fast and loose with those who trust Him. You need not the forgiveness of your fellow creatures to enter heaven, though you ought to desire to be at peace. You need His forgiveness, and having it, you are absolutely and eternally forgiven, for the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
You ask for prayer to ignore demonic activity. We will pray that you may not fix your eyes upon the enemy, but upon Christ, who hath triumphed over principalities and powers. The way to resist the devil is to draw nigh to God through the blood of Christ, to stand in the whole armour of God, and to let the whisper, There is forgiveness, drive away despair and fear. Look not within to your own power to ignore, but look to Him with whom there is forgiveness, and that forgiveness is now, at this moment, for you if you repent and believe.

Thank you for sharing this so honestly and for asking for prayer. We are praying for you and we thank God that He has been helping you see the importance of forgiveness and turning away from your past involvement in the new age.
The Bible teaches that forgiveness is central to our walk with God. We have all needed forgiveness for our sins, and we receive it only by grace through Jesus Christ alone, who became our great High Priest to make reconciliation for us. When we have been forgiven so much, God calls us to forgive others from the heart, not because our forgiveness earns His, but because we have first been forgiven and are being trained in gentleness and mercy. As you have seen, holding on to unforgiveness can give the enemy a foothold, while confessing sin and receiving God's forgiveness brings blessing, peace and abundant consolation that is far greater than our labors.
It is good that you want to make peace where you can. Scripture says, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. At the same time, peace with people and deliverance from spiritual harassment are not the same thing. Forgiveness is something you do before God in your heart, releasing others to Him and asking Him to help you not hold their wrongs against them. Reconciliation or continued contact with people who harass you is not always possible or wise, and it is not what gives you authority over demonic influence. That authority belongs to Christ alone. The way to stand against the enemy is not by trying to appease people in order to make demons leave, but by renouncing any past new age practices, confessing them to God, trusting fully in Jesus, and resisting the devil by standing firm in faith.
We encourage you to bring this fully to the Lord in repentance and faith, to stay rooted in Scripture, to put on the armor of God described in Ephesians 6, and to walk closely with a trusted pastor or mature believers in your local church who can pray with you, help you stay accountable, and help you set healthy boundaries. If harassment by other people continues in a way that threatens your safety, please also seek help from your church leaders and, if needed, appropriate authorities. God does not call you to remain in a harmful situation to prove you have forgiven.
We are praying for you in this way:
Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You through Jesus Christ Your Son. Thank You that forgiveness is found in Him alone and that You offer grace to all who turn from sin and trust in Him. We ask that You would give a deep assurance of Your forgiveness and help to forgive others as You have forgiven. Renounce and cleanse every tie to the new age and every work of darkness, and fill this life with Your Holy Spirit, Your truth and Your peace. Teach how to resist the enemy in the power of Christ, to stand firm in Your Word, and to ignore and turn away from demonic lies and distractions without fear, knowing that You are far greater. Grant wisdom to know how to pursue peace with others in a way that honors You while also maintaining wise boundaries, and bring protection, rest and freedom from harassment. Lead to faithful fellowship and pastoral care for ongoing support. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

The way to stand against the enemy is not by trying to appease people in order to make demons leave, but by renouncing any past new age practices, confessing them to God, trusting fully in Jesus, and resisting the devil by standing firm in faith.
We encourage you to bring this fully to the Lord in repentance and faith, to stay rooted in Scripture, to put on the armor of God described in Ephesians 6, and to walk closely with a trusted pastor or mature believers in your local church who can pray with you, help you stay accountable, and help you set healthy boundaries. If harassment by other people continues in a way that threatens your safety, please also seek help from your church leaders and, if needed, appropriate authorities. God does not call you to remain in a harmful situation to prove you have forgiven.
We are praying for you in this way:
Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You through Jesus Christ Your Son. Thank You that forgiveness is found in Him alone and that You offer grace to all who turn from sin and trust in Him. We ask that You would give a deep assurance of Your forgiveness and help to forgive others as You have forgiven. Renounce and cleanse every tie to the new age and every work of darkness, and fill this life with Your Holy Spirit, Your truth and Your peace. Teach how to resist the enemy in the power of Christ, to stand firm in Your Word, and to ignore and turn away from demonic lies and distractions without fear, knowing that You are far greater. Grant wisdom to know how to pursue peace with others in a way that honors You while also maintaining wise boundaries, and bring protection, rest and freedom from harassment. Lead to faithful fellowship and pastoral care for ongoing support. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
