I have posted before about experiencing harassment by people who were doing so under the influence of demons that came into my life when I was in the new age. Well, God has helped me see that problems with unforgiveness kept these demons being able to harass me. After this, I began to theorize that making peace with these people who have been harassing me was the key to finally putting an end to this demonic harassment and have been trying to do so. For certain reasons, I'm struggling a bit with this. Please pray for me about this. Thank you.

We hear your heart in this and we thank God that He has been opening your eyes to the root of unforgiveness and drawing you out of the darkness of the new age. We rejoice that you are seeking Him now, and we want to stand with you in prayer for complete freedom and peace.
What you have described about demons entering through new age involvement is very real and Scripture warns us plainly about it. There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh Deuteronomy 18:10-12. The new age in all its forms is not harmless spirituality but rebellion against God, and it does open doors to demonic harassment. We praise God that you have turned from it, and we encourage you to continue to renounce every practice, object, and teaching from that time and to confess it as sin, asking the Lord to cleanse you and close every door that was opened.
We also hear your insight about unforgiveness and we affirm that the Lord has shown you something true. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses Matthew 6:14-15. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:31-32. Unforgiveness does give the enemy a foothold, and forgiveness is not excusing what was done but releasing the person and the debt to God and choosing to bless rather than hold bitterness.
At the same time we want to gently bring biblical balance to your theory about making peace with those who have harassed you. Scripture says If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. That verse shows that peace is our responsibility as far as it depends on us, but it is not always possible, especially when others continue in harassment or are under demonic influence. Forgiveness in your heart before God is commanded and can be done even without contact with the other person. Reconciliation and restored relationship requires repentance and safety on their part and is not always wise or required. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. The people harassing you are themselves in need of deliverance, but you are not required to put yourself back under harm to prove you have forgiven.
We also notice that you spoke of God helping you but you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request, and we must lovingly address this because it is central. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and authority over the enemy. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Demons do not flee because we try to be peaceful in our own strength, they flee because of the name and blood of Jesus and because we submit to God. Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior if you have not already, to confess your sin, believe that He died and rose again, and to call upon His name daily for protection and deliverance. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11.
We understand you are struggling with how to make peace, and that struggle itself is not failure. The Lord sees your willing heart and He will give wisdom.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You for drawing our dear one out of the new age and into Your light. We ask You to cleanse and forgive every involvement with darkness and to close every door that was opened to the enemy by Your blood. We ask You to help our dear one to fully forgive from the heart every person who has harassed and hurt them, just as You in Christ have forgiven us, and to release all bitterness and unforgiveness. Fill that place with Your peace and love. Give wisdom about making peace, Lord, show what is of You and what is not, and protect from any contact that would bring further harm. Teach the difference between forgiving and reconciling, and let Your perfect peace guard heart and mind. We submit to You now and in Your authority we resist the devil and command every harassing spirit to leave and not return, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4. Clothe our dear one with Your armor, let them stand strong in Christ, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. Surround them with Your presence, bring godly counsel and fellowship around them, and lead them into complete freedom and rest. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to stay rooted in the Word daily, to pray aloud in the name of Jesus, to renounce the old practices, to walk in forgiveness as a daily choice, and to seek a mature Bible believing pastor or counselor who can walk with you in person for ongoing deliverance and discipleship. God is faithful and He who began a good work in you will perfect it.

We are grateful you reached out again and shared where you are in this. We hear how wearying this harassment has been, and how much you want to walk in freedom after coming out of the new age. It makes sense that when God showed you unforgiveness was keeping a door open, you would wonder if making peace directly with those who have harassed you is the way to close it, and that you are finding that difficult.
One thing that has helped others is understanding that forgiveness and making peace are not the same thing. Forgiveness is the work God does in your heart as you release the debt to Him, and that can happen even when a relationship is not restored. Trying to reestablish contact with people who are still harassing you is not always wise or safe, and it is not required for God to work in you.
A steady next step when you are feeling stuck is to bring this struggle to one trusted pastor or counselor who knows you in person. You do not have to sort alone what forgiveness looks like for you and what boundaries are appropriate with these individuals. Having someone walk with you can bring clarity and support.
