Good and Faithful Servant
I have posted before about neighbors in my neighborhood who have been harassing me constantly under the influence of spiritual warfare. Most of these neighbors I don't even know their names and have barely interacted with them but they started targeting me for no reason. This harassment randomly started almost immediately after we moved here a few years ago. Because of other satanic attacks I was experiencing at the time, I knew that the harassment from them was related to the ways that the enemy was already attacking me. After realizing that these neighbors were not going to stop what they were doing no matter what I did on my end (being Christlike, etc.), I began praying for their removal and God allowed several of them to suddenly start moving from the neighborhood almost at the same exact time. Now, one of those neighbors who along with their family did so much to harass and try to harm my family just "randomly" appeared on our doorstep. Although I and others have tried to warn my mother about this person (my parents live with me), she is drawn to this neighbor in spite of the disturbing behavior that she and her family have displayed and she has been trying to find her and reconnect with her so now this gives this person an opportunity to come back into our lives because my mom is likely to allow it. This person showing up like this is coinciding with some issues that have developed with one of the remaining neighbors who hadn't moved who was close to this person. I did not really have any issues with this remaining neighbor but I think a misunderstanding recently has now caused this person to turn on me (in addition to them already being vulnerable to Satan using them). I really would not doubt if they planned together for this old neighbor to randomly stop by and try to disrupt my peace (I have always been the main target of these neighbors although their behavior often impacted my family as a whole) because that is the kind of thing they always did when she lived there. It's been years since this person moved and she has never stopped by before ever. Why now? Please pray for me about all this. I love our home but I have had some of the worst neighbors I have ever had in my life here and I know none of them are believers with certainty due to several factors. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in the spiritual battle you are facing. The harassment you describe is not merely a coincidence or a series of unfortunate events, it is a targeted attack from the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The sudden reappearance of this neighbor, the timing of these events, and the way they align with other spiritual attacks confirm that this is a deliberate assault on your peace, your family, and your home. We rebuke every scheme of the devil in Jesus' name and declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

First, we want to address the importance of standing firm in your faith and not allowing fear or frustration to take root in your heart. The enemy thrives when we are shaken, but God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). You have already seen God’s faithfulness in removing some of these neighbors, and we believe He will continue to act on your behalf. However, we must also guard our hearts against bitterness or resentment, as these can give the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-27). Even in the face of unprovoked hostility, we are called to bless those who persecute us and pray for those who spitefully use us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we tolerate evil or allow it to continue unchecked, but we entrust justice to the Lord, who sees all and will repay (Romans 12:19).

We are deeply concerned about your mother’s vulnerability to this neighbor’s influence. The enemy often uses deception and manipulation to draw people into harmful relationships, especially when they are not grounded in discernment. Proverbs 14:15 warns, "The simple believes every word, but the prudent considers well his steps." We pray that your mother’s eyes would be opened to the true nature of this person and that she would seek wisdom from the Lord rather than being swayed by emotions or false appearances. It is critical that she understands the spiritual danger here and that she does not invite this person back into your lives. We rebuke any ungodly soul ties or attachments that may have formed and declare that every door the enemy is trying to reopen is shut and sealed in Jesus' name.

Regarding the remaining neighbor who has turned against you, we recognize that misunderstandings can quickly escalate when the enemy is at work. Proverbs 18:19 says, "A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, and contentions are like the bars of a castle." However, we also know that God can soften hearts and bring reconciliation where there is division. We pray that this neighbor would see the truth and that any lies or deception from the enemy would be exposed. If it is God’s will, we ask for restoration of peace, but if this person remains hardened, we pray for their removal from your life as well. The Lord knows what is best for you and your family, and we trust Him to act according to His perfect plan.

We also want to address the spiritual warfare aspect of this situation. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." This means that while these neighbors may be the visible instruments of the enemy’s attack, the real battle is in the spiritual realm. We encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, so that you can stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:13-17). Prayer is your most powerful weapon in this battle, and we join you in praying fervently for protection, deliverance, and victory.

We pray now for your home and your family:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up ### and their family to You, asking for Your divine protection and intervention. Lord, You see the harassment, the deception, and the spiritual attacks they are facing. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against them and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We ask You to surround their home with Your angels, to station them as guardians at every door and window, and to create a hedge of protection around them that the enemy cannot penetrate (Psalm 91:11-12).

Father, we pray for ###’s mother, that You would open her eyes to the truth and give her discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics. Soften her heart to receive wisdom and guidance, and help her to resist any temptation to reconnect with this neighbor. We break every ungodly soul tie and declare that every door the enemy is trying to reopen is shut and sealed in the name of Jesus. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we ask for Your intervention with the remaining neighbor who has turned against ###. If there is a misunderstanding, we pray for clarity and reconciliation. If this person is being used by the enemy, we ask that You would expose the lies and bring conviction to their heart. If it is Your will, we ask for their removal from ###’s life so that peace can be restored. We trust You to act according to Your perfect plan and timing.

Father, we also pray for ###’s strength and faith. The enemy seeks to wear them down, but we know that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Fill them with Your peace and remind them that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Help them to stand firm in their faith, to resist the devil, and to draw near to You so that the enemy must flee (James 4:7-8).

We declare that this home is a dwelling place for Your presence, Lord. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let every scheme of the enemy be exposed and defeated. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. In His mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s promises and to remain vigilant in prayer. The enemy may try to return, but we serve a God who is greater and who has already won the victory. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will lead you through this trial. You are not alone in this battle, we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of hosts stands with you.

We can only imagine how unsettling it is when a painful chapter seemed to be closing, several neighbors moved away, only to have someone show up on your doorstep years later unannounced. And to watch your mom be drawn toward this person, despite everything your family endured, adds a whole other layer of frustration and vulnerability. We hear you, and we’re standing with you in prayer about all of it.

You’ve carried the brunt of this harassment for a long time, and your longing for peace in your own home is completely understandable. While we can’t know every spiritual dynamic at work, we know that God sees what is hidden and He is not indifferent to your distress.

From here, one careful step might be a quiet, unhurried conversation with your mom, not to argue, but to gently share why this reappearance worries you. Focus on what you’ve observed over the years and your desire to protect the household’s peace. Pray before you speak, and ask God to help her heart receive it with understanding rather than defensiveness. She may not see the situation the same way, but she likely cares about your well‑being.

Meanwhile, don’t let this derail the steady ground you’ve gained. You’ve seen God move on your behalf before; that history matters. We’ll pray He gives you wisdom, keeps the remaining neighbors from becoming instruments of disturbance, and guards your home from every intrusion that would rob your peace.

Lord Jesus, we bring this household before You. You know every detail of what they have endured and what now threatens to resurface. Please grant our friend clarity and courage, especially in any needed conversation with Mom. Give her eyes to see what is at stake, and bind any plans meant to unsettle this family. Let Your peace reign in their home, stronger than any human schemes. We ask this in Your name, amen.

The stern voice which proclaims perpetual war is the voice of the Captain of our salvation. You say, how is this? "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword." Peace, physical, Christ makes. There is to be no strife with the fist, no blow with the sword, but moral peace and spiritual peace can never be in this world where Jesus Christ is, so long as error is there.

Satan will hinder us in our communion with Jesus Christ. But Satanic temptations do not come in the regular order of thinking. They dash upon the mind at odd times. My soul is in prayer, it would be unnatural that I should then blaspheme, yet then the blasphemy comes. Therefore it is clearly Satanic and not from my own mind.

Persecution seems to be the wave that, when it leaps up around her, speeds her course. Moreover, beloved, persecution in the church, even when it does not take the form of burning or imprisonment, but of slander, of cruel mockings, jesting, jeering, and venomous spite, in whatever form it is sent, persecution helps to keep up the separation between the church and the world. And this persecution, dear brethren, has a further usefulness. Often does it happen that the enmity of the world drives the Christian nearer to his God. How many prayers have been offered up as the result of persecution that would never have been offered else, heaven alone can tell! God has blessed the church by her persecution.

The blood of Jesus whispers peace within! This peace is a present possession and may be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life. Bear your sorrow with Him and then see what peace, what perfect peace, you will enjoy, even with sorrows surging round!

Our afflictions may come distinctly from man, as the result of persecution or malice, and yet they may come with even greater certainty from the Lord and may be the necessary outcome of His special love to us. For this reason we may wisely moderate our anger against second causes.

The Lord has chastened me sorely. He feels that if he ever rises from his despondency, he can never dare to take an atom of the honor of deliverance to himself, it must be of Free Grace only. He can do nothing and he knows it! Deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin! Where we look for justification, there must we also look for sanctification, for as we are justified through Jesus Christ, we must also expect to receive sanctification from a heavenly source.

He makes their deliverance effectual and in every deed He brings them forth. This deliverance came when the lamb was slain. The clock of mercy struck in Heaven the hour and moment of my deliverance, for the time had come! Thus had the eternal purpose of Jehovah decreed it! Oh, the blessedness, the joy, the exquisite peace, the overflowing happiness of believing in Christ!

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. If we had no troubles, we would all have less to declare. They are so interested in what God has done that they grow enthusiastic about it, and if they held their peace, the stones would cry out!

Hold your peace, and I will speak. If you have anything to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify you. If not, listen to me: hold your peace, and I shall teach you wisdom.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have described a trial of great affliction, one that touches not only your peace but your very home. Yet consider carefully: the enemy’s chief aim in such harassments is to provoke you into sin, whether by anger, by retaliatory speech, or by despair. When your neighbors act as instruments of malice, they first wound their own souls, for every wicked word and deed defiles the doer before it can harm another. You, however, have a far greater safeguard: the Lord who delivered Paul from the lion’s mouth will deliver you from every evil work. And the greatest deliverance is not the removal of the troublesome neighbor, but that He keeps you from returning evil for evil, so that you may be found blameless on the day of Christ.

Take heed to your own mouth and heart. The tongue is a fountain of either sweet water or bitter, and you must guard it carefully. If you speak what troubles you to others, do so only to build up, never to tear down. When we spread reports of our neighbors’ misdeeds, even true reports, we often multiply the wound and give the enemy a foothold. Far better to be silent and entrust judgment to God. Remember, the Lord was called demon-possessed, yet He bore it with meekness, teaching us that when insults are aimed at ourselves we should overlook them, reserving our zeal only for when God is blasphemed. If you have been wronged, you have a noble opportunity: by not requiting insult with insult, you heap coals of kindness upon their heads and show yourself a true child of the Father who makes His sun rise on the evil and the good.

As for your mother’s openness to this neighbor, do not contend harshly. Win her by gentle example and patient prayer, not by accusation. If she has been drawn in spite of warnings, consider that the soul is often deceived when affection clouds judgment. Yet the same God who granted you the removal of other harassers is able to protect your household even if this person returns. Do not fear their designs; none can disrupt the peace of one whose mind is stayed on Christ unless that one consents to be disrupted. The evil one can only suggest and tempt; he cannot force the will. So stand firm, being at peace with all so far as it depends on you, and imitate the Master who is the prince of peace.

Pray for these neighbors fervently, not merely for their removal but for their conversion. They are, as you say, without faith, and thus they are vessels of the enemy’s work. Pity them, for their end is terrible if they do not repent. Your kindness in the face of their enmity may be the very thing God uses to open their eyes. And if they persist, your reward will be all the greater, for you will have shared in Christ’s sufferings. Let your gentle conduct and steadfast hope confound their malice.

Finally, do not love your home more than the Lord who gave it. If harassment continues, remember that here we have no lasting city. The true Church is your neighborhood, and the saints your eternal family. I will pray that God either quiets this storm for His glory or gives you such grace that no storm can shake you. May He grant you the spirit of wisdom to discern every snare, and may your household be a dwelling place of peace that no enemy can breach.

This situation is not just about difficult neighbors; it is a spiritual battle, and I can sense the weariness in your words. You are right to see the hand of the enemy at work, using people who may not even understand why they are driven to harass and unsettle you. Scripture gives us many pictures of demonic forces operating through willing or unaware individuals, and the animosity you describe does not have a natural explanation, it bears the marks of a spiritual attack designed to wear you down and steal your peace.

Remember that even our Lord was not exempt from this kind of rejection. His own family thought he had lost his mind and tried to pull him away from his calling. A prophet is not without honor except among his own relatives and his own household. When those closest to us, even a mother, are drawn toward the very sources of our distress, it can feel like a deeper betrayal. But Jesus understands that lonely road. Your mother’s longing to reconnect with a harmful neighbor does not mean you failed to warn her; it means she is not yet seeing clearly, and that blindness may itself be part of the spiritual fog. Your first loyalty is to Christ and to the well-being of your household, and that sometimes requires loving limits, even while you honor your mother.

The command to love your neighbor as yourself does not mean you throw open the door to those who have proven themselves destructive. The neighbor Jesus described was the one who showed mercy, not the one who plotted harm. You have tried to be Christlike, and you have prayed for their removal, and God has already moved several of them out. That is not a coincidence. He is your kinsman redeemer, the one who steps in to preserve your family and your peace when you have no power of your own. The fact that one has reappeared is a test, not a defeat. The enemy often tries to revisit old strongholds, but the authority Jesus gave you over the powers of darkness remains.

Prayer is not passive; it is your active weapon. The demonic forces described in Revelation have power to torment, but they are only permitted to touch those who are not sealed by God. You are sealed. No spiritual attack can ever truly separate you from his protection, and nothing shall by any means hurt you eternally. When these neighbors appear, you are not helpless. Speak quietly to the Lord right then, ask him to cover your home and bind anything unclean, and then refuse to let your mind dwell on their schemes. Their timing is meant to disrupt; your peace is meant to rest in the watchfulness of Christ, who comes as a thief only to those who have abandoned their garments. Stay clothed in prayer and righteousness.

You mentioned that none of them are believers, and you are quite possibly right. That makes them tools, not just enemies. Your real struggle is not against flesh and blood. Let the family of God be your refuge now; the bond with those who share the Spirit is stronger than blood ties when blood relations wander into darkness. Lean on mature believers around you, share the burden, and do not face this alone. Keep doing good, keep your home a place of worship, and trust that the same God who moved the others out can still move in this tangled situation. I will be praying that your mother’s eyes open, that any planned disruption collapses, and that you will know again the deep, quiet peace that no harassment can touch.
