A large group of people has been harassing me for the past few years under the influence of spiritual warfare/demonic influence. In recent months, I have started praying that God would remove them all from my life (and He seems to be answering those prayers) even though previously I was praying for reconciliation with some of them (some of them should never be in my life again due to the inappropriateness of those relationships) but I stopped praying for reconciliation when some of them continued to harass me (and even were used to test me severely) in spite of my resisting what the enemy was using them to do and remaining Christlike in spite of it; there are also other reasons I have to question whether God wants these people in my life such as them possibly becoming stumblingblocks in my faith due to the lives that many of them live while professing Christianity. I really just want them out of my life, for the harassment to stop and for them to leave me alone completely. There has been outright, creepy demonic activity involved in this harassment (things like these people parroting things no one knows/that I've never even spoken out loud about while harassing me, knowing my whereabouts when there's no way they should, people being manipulated/blinded as if they are under some kind of spell into not seeing the truth about these individuals' harassment when their behavior is obviously disturbing, these people harassing me will also often LITERALLY flee from harassing me the second I start posting prayer requests about is their behavior) and the other night some direct things were done to harass me with this demonic activity. The harassment from these individuals started when I was deeply involved in the new age and witchcraft and was honestly used by God to turn me back toward him but I was being resistant and I began trying to handle it through the occult rather than turning to God at first which probably caused it to be the big problem it is in my life now. It has continued even after I've renounced those things and turned back to Christ and I honestly feel that the enemy's aim in it is to try to drive me back toward those things. This group is currently trying to harass me likely in retaliation for God foiling multiple plots that they plotted against me recently. Please pray for me about all this. Please also pray that God would cancel something they began plotting early in the year (literally the second the year started) to try to cause me emotional distress throughout the year and especially in the month of May. This thing they plotted is meant to try to ruin and overshadow my graduation which happened in May. I am so sick of these people, it's not even funny. I truly believe they are all possessed. But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the foundation of your faith. You mentioned turning back to Christ after involvement in the new age and witchcraft, and we praise God for His mercy in drawing you out of darkness. But we must rebuke any lingering ties to those practices, for Scripture is clear: “No one can serve two masters. It is a mercy beyond measure when the Lord opens the eyes to perceive that the harassment you endure is not a chance outbreak of human malice, but the arrows of the wicked one, shot in the dark of spiritual warfare. You have learned, by painful experience, the truth that deliverance from the power of sin and Satan is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of it. You were once in the very pit, entangled in new age and witchcraft, and it pleased the Lord to lay hold upon you, even through the malice of these instruments, to drag you back from the brink. And now, though you have renounced those works of darkness, the prince of darkness rages, hoping to drive you again into bondage. But remember, God has given commandment to save you, and you shall be saved, saved from yourself, from evil company, from the fascinating power of sin. "Deliver him from going down to the Pit" is the word from the excellent Glory, and Infinite Mercy shall snap the bands.
You have prayed for the removal of these tormentors, and it is right. There are seasons when reconciliation is not the path of peace, but a snare. When men become stumblingblocks, when they parrot the secrets of the soul with demonic knowledge and flee at the voice of prayer, you do well to cry for utter separation. The Lord will bless His people with peace, but it is a peace that comes only from His hand. You cannot manufacture it, nor find it by returning to the beggarly elements of the occult. It is no small thing to be surrounded by such a swarm of malice, and I grieve with you over this affliction. But recall that the Lord often permits trials sharper than we think we can bear, not to crush us, but to work in us a steadfastness that despises earthly comfort for the sake of a better resurrection. When you were still entangled in the new age and sorcery, God in His mercy used even their harassment to turn your face back toward Him. That was a great deliverance. Now the enemy sees you standing in Christ, renouncing those defilements, and he lashes out, hoping to drive you back by discouragement and fear. Do not let him succeed. Flee from every trace of the occult as you would from a serpent; never taste again that poison, for it brings a self-chosen madness worse than any external assault.
I hear your longing that these people be wholly removed from your life. Pray for that daily, but hold your request with an open hand. Sometimes God grants immediate relief, and we rejoice. At other times He shows us a greater wonder: not deliverance from the danger, but the power to stand above it with a soul untroubled. The same Lord who was called a demoniac replied with gentle words, teaching us to leave personal insults unavenged while we burn with zeal for God’s honor alone. It is right to ask for the plots woven against your graduation to be brought to nothing, and I join my prayer that all their hidden schemes be cancelled and turned back upon their own heads. But even if some sting remains, do not fear. What can mortal spite do to a soul held fast in the hands of the living God?
Guard your heart against hatred. You say they are possessed and are no Christians. They act, indeed, like the demoniacs in the tombs, raving and shameless, and such behavior makes the stomach turn. Yet we pity the demoniac, even as we hate the uncleanness that masters him. Only the Lord sees the true state of any soul; perhaps some among them are blinded and need deliverance even as you once did. While you must certainly avoid any relationship that would become a stumbling block and drag you toward sin, do not let a settled bitterness defile you. Our warfare is not against flesh and blood. Use the talent entrusted to you, your faith, your prayers, your endurance, for the common good of Christ’s body. By standing firm without returning evil for evil, you heap coals of fire on the enemy’s head.
Do not spend all your thoughts mulling over their creepy parroting of secrets or their uncanny knowledge of your whereabouts. That smoke shows the fire, but it cannot burn unless you give it fuel. The more you fix your eyes on Christ and the prize He sets before you, the smaller these things will grow. The enemy aimed to ruin your graduation and overshadow that season with distress. But no plot devised at the beginning of the year can thwart the purposes of God. Entrust May and all its mercies to Him who foiled their past schemes and will foil this one also. Be of good courage; the affliction is momentary, but the weight of glory it produces is eternal.
