Happy Resurrection Day From Behind the Easter Bunny!

Happy Resurrection Day!
From Behind the Easter god-2012104_1920 radiovocesdeamoryvida .pngBunny
This is the day that the Lord has made. While there is nothing wrong with celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday, NOT knowing that “He is the Reason for the Season” is.
Today is Resurrection Sunday!
Whereas, on the third day after his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD, Jesus rose from the dead.
The Father sent His Son so that we could have hope and be empowered with strength from above to endure the inevitable suffering and pain that this life brings along with joy.
Resurrection Sunday
Teaching our children, the true meaning of Easter is every parent’s Christian responsibility.
Whereas, on the third day after his burial following his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD, Jesus rose from the dead.
There should be no confusion concerning the meaning of Easter which is to commemorate the celebrate the resurrection of Christ. Be bold enough to go behind the bunny and Easter eggs for the sake of Christ.
Easter outfits, the Easter bunny and Easter egg hunts should never be the main-focus of Resurrection Sunday.
Happy Easter Sunday as well!

Dear Minister Needy, all respect to your post and your opinions, i would go even further if you dont mind:
It is said sometimes that churches do not preach about the Babylonian or other pagan symbols and rituals that we see in Easter hollydays, like bunnies and eggs...Also i would like someone to show me, where is it in the Bible that we should celebrate resurrection as one particular day in the year? I would be grateful to anyone to show me that verse or verses. I know that Jesus gave us commandement to take Lords supper and this should be done, i suppose, as you are led by the Holy spirit, or even every day. But to celebrate Jesus resurrection as a one day, i dont see it nowhere in the Bible...
This celebration as one day in the year, i feel it, like it is undermining of Jesus sacrifice for us, we should remember that He is resurrected every now and then, if not every day...This should be our way of thinking and living, right? I mean all faith is based upon His resurrection? We would not have faith and new lives in Jesus, if He had not been resurrected.
Will we be slaves to traditions, or will we have faith of the living God? I cannot imagine people of the early church painting eggs and making rabbits, or even having Easter day once a year. They have walked in faith, spoken in tongues, they have done miracles and walked in power, and i think it would be ridiculous for them to celebrate Easter hollydays once a year....

Natasha, I stand in agreement, Natasha.

However, I would add that Easter Sunday is said to be pagan-inspired. "Also called Pascha (Greek, Latin) or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, described in the New Testament as having occurred on the third day of his burial after his crucifixion by the Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD."

Because of the commercialization and possible pagan origins of Easter, many churches prefer to call it “Resurrection Sunday.” The rationale is that, the more we focus on Christ and His work on our behalf, the better. Paul says that without the resurrection of Christ our faith is futile (1 Corinthians 15:17). What more wonderful reason could we have to celebrate! Whether we call it “Easter” or “Resurrection Sunday,” what is important is the reason for our celebration, which is that Christ is alive, making it possible for us to have eternal life (Romans 6:4)! https://www.gotquestions.org/easter-origins.html

From where I sit and based on personal experience "Easter celebration and Christmas celebration" suffer from the same afflictions. The actual day of celebration may be the least of a Christian's worry. From all accounts, the perverse commercialization of these holidays, both within the church walls and beyond poses the biggest threat to the salvation of God's people. Easter egg hunts are just that and are in no way part of an actual religious ritual. Of greater concern may be the effort that parents put into purchasing new outfits for their children to wear on Easter Sunday if they fail to explain the meaning of the day to the children, by describing how God is intended for us to celebrate the day, which is "Resurrection Day!"

The other matter is a large number of people who only send kids to church one day a year, which happens to be on Easter Sunday. Well, in my opinion, I would rather see the kids one day a year than not at all. In fact, this is a perfect opportunity for the Lord's fishermen and fisherwomen to reach out to young people by encouraging them to come back and establishing ways to stay in contact to make that a reality.

About the Easter eggs, "Ultimately, it comes down to a matter of conscience (Romans 14:5). There is nothing essentially evil about painting and hiding eggs and having children search for them. What is important is our focus. If our focus is on Christ, our children can be taught to understand that the eggs are just a fun game. Children should know the true meaning of the day, and parents and the church have a responsibility to teach the true meaning. In the end, participation in Easter egg hunts and other secular traditions must be left up to the discretion of parents." https://www.gotquestions.org/easter-origins.html

I dont know Ministerneecy, if you give the devil one finger, he will take the whole hand. It is like we are so convinced that evil symbols from paganism will not take us over. Like you are kissing a man (french kiss) before marriage, and being sure that you will not sleep with him...hmmmmm....maybe some will manage to do that, but the most of them not....
Can you please find the place in the Bible where that celebration of Jesus resurrection occured? Maybe i have not read it well? But it was not being celebrated more then once, right? And does God commands to celebrate it?
I dont have nothing against believers visiting people who have easter eggs, but i dont think we should have eggs in our houses....like participating in worlds ceremonies...

While I am not a Bible scholar, and cannot attest to knowing the Bible like the back of my hand, I do have a good handle on it "I do know that there is nowhere in the Bible that references celebrating Easter." Additionally, I'm not aware of a designated day set aside to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus according to the Bible. I do believe that it is permissible to celebrate the birth, life, and blessing of Jesus Christ at any time. Aso, I agree that Easter bunnies and Easter eggs should not be symbolic the celebration day of the resurrection of Jesus.

However, the things is, "I have many more serious concerns involving the present-day church and with some who profess to be Christians but behave as though they are not. The church as a whole, including all dominations, has become willing participants of blatant disobedience. The Easter egg thing is minor in comparison to the magnitude of other ways Christians are at odds with God's Word?" As you say, if you give the devil one finger, he will take the whole hand." Evil things from paganism have already taken us over? Prosperity preaching, idol worshipping, as in worshiping "preachers," positions, money, adultery (going on in the church), child abuse (that which is connected to church folk)? I just can't get worked up over Easter eggs when "tithes" collected from church members who take a bus to service are being used to fund lavish lifestyles. And, my pet peeve' "false prophecy."
That said, "it will take more than not having eggs in some people's houses to make them acceptable in God's sight."
Matthew 7:13-14 New King James Version (NKJV)
The Narrow Way

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.14 [a]Because narrow is the gate and [b]difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

A little of what the Bible says about "Resurrection Day."
1
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. 2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men. 5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.

The angel spoke to the women. “You must not be afraid,” he said. “I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has been raised, just as he said. Come here and see the place where he was lying. (Matthew 28:5-6)

When I saw him, I fell down at his feet like a dead man. He placed his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the first and the last. I am the living one! I was dead, but now I am alive forever and ever. I have authority over death and the world of the dead.
(Revelation 1:17-18)

Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands; then reach out your hand and put it in my side. Stop your doubting, and believe!” Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Do you believe because you see me? How happy are those who believe without seeing me!” (John 20:27-29)
