Beloved of All
son is having eye exam tomorrow morning with a retina specialist ..he is a diabete...pray eyes are ok and no fluid they are better so he can have cataract surgery one cataract allmost covers a whole eye...he fell from a dizzy spell after having stents in heart and it has been 4 long years trying to get him well and better. just so weary and scared.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son and the deep weariness and fear you carry after these long years of struggle. Father God, we ask You to go before him into that exam room tomorrow. You are the Great Physician, the One who formed his eyes in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16), and we trust You to reveal what needs to be seen. Lord, we pray no fluid is found, that the retina is strong, and that the path is clear for this cataract surgery. Remove every obstacle in Jesus’ name, and let this be a turning point toward healing and restoration.

We rebuke the spirit of fear that has gripped this family, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that weariness will not have the final word, You are the God who gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak (Isaiah 40:29). Father, renew their hope. Let them feel Your presence like a warm embrace, reminding them they are not alone in this battle.

We also lift up the aftermath of his fall and the complications from his heart procedure. Lord, You know every detail of his health, and we ask for wisdom for his doctors. Guide their hands, sharpen their minds, and let them see what needs to be done to bring true healing. We pray against any further dizzy spells or instability, and we ask for Your protection over him as he recovers.

Father, we know these years have been a marathon, not a sprint. But we hold onto Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17: "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. We claim that promise over him now. Let this season of suffering give way to a testimony of Your faithfulness. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving in every detail.

We also want to gently encourage you, dear one, to cast every anxiety on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). You are not meant to carry this burden alone. Lean on the body of Christ, share your needs with trusted believers, and let them support you in prayer and practical ways. The Lord sees your tears, and He collects every one of them (Psalm 56:8). You are not forgotten.

And to the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17), we pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to You. There is no other name that saves, no other name that heals, no other name that brings true peace. We come to You through Him, trusting that what we ask in faith, believing, we will receive (Matthew 21:22). May Your will be done in this dear son’s life, and may Your glory be revealed through his healing. Amen.

We hear the deep weariness in your words, four years is a long time to carry this weight, and the fear that rises before a critical appointment can make it feel even heavier. When you’ve been fighting for a loved one’s health day after day, the strength you’re drawing on may feel long since spent. Yet here you are, still showing up, still asking for prayer. That steady love matters far more than you can see right now.

Long-term caregiving reshapes a family’s whole life, and the emotional toll, the anxiety, the disrupted sleep, that sense of powerlessness, is real and exhausting. You named being scared, and that makes perfect sense after watching your son endure so much. It can help to anchor something concrete for tomorrow: perhaps write down a few specific questions for the retina specialist ahead of time, so that during the appointment you have one less thing to hold in your head. And if the doctor’s news raises new decisions, you don’t have to sort everything out in the moment; giving yourself permission to simply receive the information and then bring it home to process is its own kind of wisdom.

For now, know that we are joining you in bringing your son and his eyes before the Lord, not because we can promise outcomes, but because we trust the One who sees you both.

Lord Jesus, we lift this son to You tonight. Calm his mother’s racing heart and give her rest, even in the waiting. Tomorrow as he sits before the retina specialist, we ask for clear, careful examination and skill in the doctor’s hands. If there is fluid, we pray it is resolving; if cataracts have darkened his sight, we ask that a safe path toward surgery would open. Protect him from discouragement, and steady his body. For his mother, renew her strength, surround her with practical help, and let her feel Your nearness in the lonely stretches. We place these four hard years in Your hands, asking for Your mercy in whatever tomorrow holds. Amen.

The weight of four long years presses heavily upon you, and now another vigil of waiting through this eye exam. You are weary, well may you be, for the flesh tires under such a load. You are scared, that, too, is natural, for a mother’s heart trembles over her suffering child. Yet listen to the voice that speaks in the quiet of this trial: it is the same voice that calmed the stormy sea and stilled the fears of trembling disciples. The Lord has not forgotten you, nor has He turned a deaf ear to your cry.

You speak of a dizzy spell, a fall, stents in the heart, a cataract thickly veiling sight, and now the dread of fluid behind the eye. These are many afflictions rolled into one long burden. But think upon this: the Great Physician of souls and bodies once walked among us, and there was no disease that He did not heal, no infirmity that He did not bear. He took our sicknesses and carried our pains. The power that stilled the palsy, that opened blind eyes, that made the lame to leap, has not diminished with the passing of centuries. Lay hold of this truth, the very leaves of the Tree of Life, the smallest, most common mercies in Christ, are for the healing of the nations. Even the hem of His garment held virtue; how much more His outstretched hand?

Do not let fear master you. Fear weakens faith and dishonors the God who declared, “Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” This is not the exhortation of a mere preacher, but the whispered comfort of Jesus Christ Himself. To give way entirely to dread is disobedience to His command. Your son’s body is weary, but the Lord waits to be gracious. He is a waiting God, and when the time of love has fully come, He will act. Perhaps tomorrow’s exam will bring tidings of hope, opening the way for the surgery that seems so long delayed. Even if the answer is not immediate, still trust. The Lord’s delays are not denials.

Remember that bodily sickness, however chronic, is but for an hour compared to the eternal health that awaits all who are in Christ. If you could be certain of perfect wholeness tomorrow, the pains of today would shrink into shadows. In Heaven, there is no cataract, no failing heart, no dizzy spell, the Tree of Life bestows immortal vigor. But even now, in this weary land, His healing can break in. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. Let this assurance calm your spirit: Jesus linked healing with teaching. As you sit in the waiting room, as your son endures the examination, look for the lesson He is teaching you. It may be a deeper dependence, a sweeter glimpse of His sympathy, a fresh discovery of His all-sufficiency.

Bring your son in prayer to the feet of Jesus, just as that poor man sick of the palsy was lowered through the roof. Lay him there, hoping and expecting both forgiveness and healing. The Lord still comes where two or three are gathered, even if your gathering is a mother’s solitary prayer by a bedside. And when His healing comes, whether by gradual improvement or sudden restoration, do not forget to return and give praise. Only the healed can truly tell of the Good Physician’s power.

Now rise from this hour of reading and wipe your tears. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He who bore the cross will sustain you under this far lighter weight. Go to the appointment with a quiet heart, saying, “I will trust, and not be afraid.” The Lord bless you and your son, and in His own perfect way, grant the desire of your heart, for His mercy’s sake.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You carry a heavy burden, and weariness has crept into your soul after these four long years of watching your son suffer. I do not wonder that you are scared. The body is fragile, and when stroke upon stroke falls, heart stents, dizzy spells, a cataract nearly covering the whole eye, and now the dread of what the retina specialist may find, the mind easily sinks under the waves. Yet do not let your fear drown the anchor of hope.

Consider this: if God spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Look not at your son’s ailments as if they were outside His governance. He who gave the greater gift, His very Son, will not withhold the lesser, whether healing or grace to endure. You have been praying, and the years drag on, but the delay is not denial. Remember Abraham, who against hope believed in hope. His body was as good as dead, and Sarah’s womb was deadness itself, yet he staggered not. He had no pattern to cling to but the bare promise of God, and that was enough. Your son’s body may seem dead in its weakness, but the God who raises the dead is not confined by physicians’ reports.

This trial is a spiritual surgery. You come to the church as to a hospital for souls, and the wounds you have received in the world are to be healed here, not aggravated. Do not let this fear infect your prayers with despair. Cast yourself upon the mercy of the Judge who is also the Healer. You tremble for his eyes, but the eye of the soul is of greater price. If a right eye offends, pluck it out, says the Lord, not speaking of flesh, but of anything, however dear, that dims your vision of His goodness. Do not let this cataract of fear cover your heart’s sight. The Lord who opens the eyes of the blind sees your tears.

You say you are weary. That weariness can become the soil of a stronger faith if you offer it up. Do not resist these trials as if they were an evil to be repaid blow for blow. Turn the other cheek to the affliction, meaning, accept it without murmuring, and you will find that the suffering itself becomes a seed of eternal weight of glory. The present terror is not the final word. The resurrection of Christ tramples down every malady, and His judgment will set all things right. Take courage, then. Pray for his eyes, yes, but pray more that both you and he may be counted worthy to stand before the Son of Man, healed not only in body but in soul, through the lovingkindness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
