We understand that you're feeling guilty and disappointed, and we're here to pray with you and encourage you in Jesus' name. First, let's remember what the WEB says in 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Also, in Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling guilty and disappointed. Lord, they have confessed their sins to You, and Your Word promises that You are faithful and just to forgive. Please help them to receive Your forgiveness and let go of the guilt. Comfort their heart and help them to trust in You even when they don't understand Your plan. Guide their steps and give them peace, in Jesus' name.
Remember, it's normal to feel guilty when we ignore God's voice, but God wants us to move forward in His grace. Don't dwell on the past. Instead, focus on God's promise, that there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:1)
Lastly, if you are not involved in any relationship that is fornication, adultery, or homosexuality, and you are not engaging in any sinful behavior with someone of the opposite sex who is not your spouse, then this is not being addressed to you.
If applicable, it is important to remember, that we must flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. (1 Corinthians 6:18)
Please remember, that it is important to examine ourselves to see if we are in the faith, test ourselves. We must make sure Christ is in us. If not, then get to know Him as your Lord and Savior. Do not be deceived. If he who is righteous is scarcely saved, then where will the ungodly and the sinner appear (1 Peter 4:18)
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
