Delay, feeling forgotten, disappointment

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hello, I am battling with a spirit of delay. This spirit wants to make everything very slow. There is almost no visible progress in my life despite hard work. Also, I feel like other people often forget me or do not value my time. Time gets lost. My friends sometimes forget me. The application I wrote for a new job now is delayed, due to problems in the house where I work. At church, I volunteered to help in a ministry team; they forgot me. I started dating a man, but he often forgets me for 1 or 2 weeks. I am doing a trading business and sometimes the transactions are forgotten or need much time. Sometimes I feel like even the Lord forgets my prayer. People mock me for getting older and not having success in life, despite hard work. I am praying a lot; processing is difficult. I am afraid, my destiny is wasted, and so I do not want to waste any more time. Please pray for me, that I can recover all stolen time and opportunities the enemy stole from me and that I may make serious progress and advance in my job and move towards the destiny the Lord has for my life and that every power of delay and being forgotten may be broken.

We hear the deep weariness in your heart, dear sister, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The spirit of delay is a cruel tool of the enemy, designed to steal your hope, kill your joy, and destroy your faith in God’s perfect timing. But we declare that this assignment over your life is broken in the mighty name of Jesus! The Word of God assures us, *"The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10 WEB). The delays you are experiencing are not from the Lord, and we rebuke every demonic force assigned to stagnate your progress, cause forgetfulness in others, or make you feel invisible. This is not your portion!

We must also address the pain of feeling forgotten, even by those closest to you. It is heartbreaking when friends, ministry leaders, or even a potential spouse fail to honor your time or value your presence. But take comfort in this truth: *"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you! Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands"* (Isaiah 49:15-16 WEB). The Lord sees you, He remembers you, and He is working behind the scenes even when it feels like nothing is happening. The delays in your job, ministry, and even in courtship are not a reflection of your worth or God’s love for you. We must also gently remind you that courtship should always be pursued with the goal of marriage, and if this man is not treating you with the honor and consistency that reflects Christ’s love for the Church, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and pray for wisdom. *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). If he is a believer, we pray for conviction and transformation in his heart to prioritize you as he should.

The enemy wants you to believe that your destiny is being wasted, but we declare that God is a God of restoration! *"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten"* (Joel 2:25 WEB). Every stolen moment, every missed opportunity, every forgotten transaction—we claim restoration over it all! The Lord is not slow concerning His promises; He is patient, and His timing is perfect (2 Peter 3:9). We encourage you to hold fast to His Word and refuse to partner with fear or despair. Instead, stand on the promise that *"those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31 WEB).

We also want to address the mockery you are facing. The enemy often uses the words of others to plant seeds of doubt, but we rebuke every word spoken against your destiny! *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment"* (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). Do not internalize the lies of the enemy. You are not defined by the opinions of others or the pace of your progress. God’s timeline is not ours, and His ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Name that is above every name, the Name by which we are saved and delivered. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who sees, hears, and remembers Your children. We lift up our sister to You, and we break every chain of delay, forgetfulness, and stagnation that the enemy has placed over her life. We declare that the spirit of delay is broken, and we command every stolen moment, opportunity, and blessing to be restored to her sevenfold, in Jesus’ name!

Father, we ask that You would open doors of opportunity in her career, ministry, and personal life that no man can shut. We pray for divine favor in her trading business, that every transaction would be swift, accurate, and profitable. We ask for godly connections and relationships that will honor You and edify her. Lord, we pray for her courtship, that You would either bring conviction and transformation in this man’s heart or remove him from her life if he is not the one You have for her. Give her wisdom and discernment to walk in purity and purpose.

We rebuke every spirit of mockery and discouragement that has spoken against her destiny. We declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, and her steps are ordered by You. Lord, renew her strength, fill her with hope, and let her see Your hand moving in every area of her life. We pray that she would not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, she will reap if she does not faint (Galatians 6:9).

Father, we ask that You would surround her with godly community—people who will remember her, value her, and stand with her in prayer and encouragement. Let her feel Your presence in a tangible way, and remind her daily that You have not forgotten her. We declare that her latter days will be greater than her former, and that she will walk in the fullness of the destiny You have prepared for her.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already hers in Christ Jesus. We seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus and declare that every assignment of the enemy over her life is dismantled. May she walk in the freedom, purpose, and abundance that You have promised her. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen!

We're right there with you, dear friend. We understand the frustration and pain that comes with feeling stuck and forgotten. It's like you're in a holding pattern, and everyone around you seems to be moving on without you. But remember, God is not a God of confusion. He has a purpose in every season of our lives, even the ones that feel like they're in slow motion.

We want to encourage you with this: God sees you. He knows every detail of your life, and He's working behind the scenes even when it feels like nothing is happening. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God is a God of healing, and He's right there with you, mending your heart.

Let's also remember that God's timing is perfect. He's not slow; He's patient (2 Peter 3:9). Every delay, every setback, every moment of feeling forgotten is an opportunity for God to work in your life in a way that only He can. Trust in His timing, and don't let fear or despair creep in.

And hey, it's okay to feel disappointed, to feel like others have forgotten you. It's a normal human response. But don't let those feelings define you or your worth. You are a child of the King, loved and cherished. As it says in Isaiah 49:15-16, "Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands."

So, let's keep trusting, keep praying, and keep moving forward, one step at a time. And remember, you're not alone. We're praying for you, and so is the entire body of Christ. Let's claim restoration, breakthrough, and progress in Jesus' mighty name!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
