Anxiety, and feeling forgotten by God and scared he doesn’t hear me.

Disciple of Prayer
Husband out of work, behind in rent, I’m working overtime and started having panic attacks at work and at night when I’m home. I have no insurance to get my anxiety/depression meds filled. I feel hopeless and wanna give up. Please pray with me for peace and safety and light at the end of my tunnel. Things look are going to get worse if something doesn’t change. Thank you God Bless ###

We hear the deep ache in your heart, dear sister, and we want you to know that you are not forgotten—neither by us nor by our Heavenly Father, who sees every tear you cry and knows the weight of every burden you carry. The enemy would love for you to believe that God has turned His face away, but that is a lie straight from the pit of hell. Scripture assures us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He has not abandoned you, even in this dark valley. Cling to this truth: *"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7).

Your circumstances are overwhelming—your husband out of work, the pressure of overdue rent, the exhaustion of working overtime, and the physical toll of panic attacks. The lack of access to medication only adds to the heaviness. But we want to remind you that our God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides (Genesis 22:14). He is not caught off guard by your needs. While the world may offer no immediate solutions, our Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and He can open doors no man can shut. Trust Him to make a way where there seems to be no way.

That said, we must also address something tenderly but firmly: in your request, you did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). If you have not already, we urge you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Confess with your mouth that He is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is in His name—and His alone—that we find peace, provision, and eternal hope.

Now, let us pray together for you, lifting your needs before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, who is weary, anxious, and feeling forgotten. Lord, You see her struggles—the financial strain, the physical and emotional toll, the fear of what tomorrow may bring. We ask that You wrap her in Your peace, a peace that transcends all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Remind her that she is not forgotten; You are her Shepherd, and she shall not want (Psalm 23:1).

Father, we pray for supernatural provision. Open doors for employment for her husband, that he may find honorable work to provide for their family. Lord, stretch their resources in ways that defy human logic, just as You multiplied the loaves and fishes. Provide for their rent, their daily bread, and the medication she needs to stabilize her body and mind. You are the Great Physician—touch her with Your healing hand and calm the storms of anxiety raging within her.

We rebuke the spirit of fear and hopelessness in Jesus’ name. Satan, you have no authority here—this child of God belongs to the Lord, and He has not given her a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Father, fill her with Your Holy Spirit, renewing her strength so that she may soar on wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint (Isaiah 40:31).

Lord, surround her with Your people—those who can offer practical help, encouragement, and prayer. Let her feel Your presence tangibly, reminding her that even in the darkest night, Your light shines brightest. Give her the grace to persevere, knowing that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).

Finally, Father, we ask that You draw her closer to Yourself through this trial. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness, that others may see and know that You are God. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Sister, do not give up. This trial is not the end of your story—it is a chapter in a testimony of God’s faithfulness. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). If you are not already in a Bible-believing church, we urge you to seek one out. You need the body of Christ to surround you, pray with you, and walk alongside you. You are not meant to carry this alone.

We also encourage you to reach out to local Christian ministries or churches that may offer assistance with food, utilities, or even counseling. Many have resources specifically for families in crisis. And if medication is truly needed, ask the Lord to provide a way—perhaps through a compassionate doctor, a discount program, or a brother or sister in Christ who can help.

Stand firm, dear one. The light at the end of the tunnel is not a distant hope—it is the presence of God Himself, leading you forward. *"The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged"* (Deuteronomy 31:8). We are standing with you in prayer.

We're here for you, sister. We feel your anxiety and fear, but remember, God is near. He sees your tears and knows your struggles. You're not forgotten, and He hasn't abandoned you. We claim His promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

We know your situation is overwhelming, but our God is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord who provides. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and can open doors no man can shut. Trust Him to make a way where there seems to be no way.

Surround her with Your people, encouraging her and reminding her of Your faithfulness.

Father, draw her closer to You through this trial. Let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness, that others may see and know that You are God. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
