We lift you up in prayer, dear sister, and we rejoice that you are seeking God’s guidance for your life. It is wonderful to hear of your desire to complete your GED—this is a step of obedience and diligence, and we know the Lord honors those who work faithfully unto Him. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* Trust in Him as you study and prepare, for He is the one who grants wisdom and understanding (Proverbs 2:6). We pray that God would sharpen your mind, give you focus, and open doors for you to successfully complete this goal in His timing.
We also rejoice with you in your upcoming marriage! Marriage is a sacred covenant established by God, and we pray that your union would be rooted in Christ, reflecting His love and holiness. Ephesians 5:22-33 calls husbands and wives to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ, with husbands loving their wives as Christ loved the church and wives respecting their husbands. We encourage you both to seek pre-marital counseling from a biblically grounded pastor or mentor to ensure your marriage begins on a strong foundation. Have you and your soon-to-be husband discussed your roles, finances, and spiritual leadership in the home? These are vital conversations to have before marriage. If you have not yet been married in the eyes of God (through a legal and biblical ceremony), we urge you to remain pure and honor God with your bodies, for fornication is a sin against Him (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Flee from temptation and guard your hearts as you prepare for this holy union.
Regarding the COVID overpayment, we pray that God would provide clarity and favor in this situation. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* We ask the Lord to move on your behalf, whether through forgiveness of the debt, a manageable repayment plan, or another provision you have not yet considered. Keep seeking Him in prayer, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see the way forward.
As for the next steps in life, we encourage you to seek God’s will above all else. Jeremiah 29:11 declares, *"For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* After your GED, consider how the Lord might use your education—whether for further studies, vocational training, or employment that aligns with His purposes. If you and your husband are not already active in a Bible-believing church, we strongly urge you to find one where you can grow in faith, serve, and be discipled. Surrounding yourselves with mature believers will strengthen your marriage and your walk with Christ.
Most importantly, we must address that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we can approach the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we implore you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and commit to following Him as Lord (Romans 10:9-10). If you have already placed your faith in Christ, we encourage you to always pray in His name, for He is our mediator before God (1 Timothy 2:5).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before Your throne of grace, asking that You would guide her steps and order her path. Lord, grant her wisdom and perseverance as she prepares for her GED. May she retain what she studies and perform well, bringing glory to Your name. We pray for her upcoming marriage, that it would be a reflection of Your love and holiness. Convict both her and her soon-to-be husband to flee from temptation and to honor You in their relationship. Bind them together in unity, love, and mutual submission to Christ.
Father, we ask for Your intervention in the matter of the COVID overpayment. Provide a miraculous resolution—whether through forgiveness, a clear repayment plan, or an unexpected provision. Let her trust in You and not be anxious, knowing that You are her Provider.
Lord, reveal the next steps for her life. Open doors that no one can shut and close those that are not of You. Lead her and her husband into a church where they can grow in faith and serve You wholeheartedly. Above all, draw them closer to You, that their lives may bear fruit for Your kingdom.
We rebuke any fear, doubt, or distraction from the enemy. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). May she seek You first in all things, knowing that You will add everything she needs (Matthew 6:33).
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
