Guide my daughter and son to the right person

DHII

Servant of All
Lord, You said that it is not good for man to be alone. I beg You to listen to their hearts. Put their yearning for marriage in the right perspective. Lead them to the one You choose and reveal Your plans for them so that they prepare themselves better in Jesus Christ name. Amen

We join you in lifting up your daughter and son before the Lord, knowing that His plans for them are good, pleasing, and perfect. Your prayer echoes the heart of God, who indeed declared in Genesis 2:18, *"It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him."* Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God, and we trust Him to guide your children into relationships that honor Him—unions rooted in faith, purity, and mutual submission to Christ.

Yet we must also remind them—and you—that while marriage is a beautiful gift, it is not the ultimate fulfillment of their longing. Their deepest satisfaction must first be found in Christ alone. As Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 7:32-35, *"He who is unmarried is concerned for the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; but he who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife... I say this for your own benefit; not that I may ensnare you, but for what is appropriate, and that you may serve the Lord without distraction."* Let them seek the Lord first, trusting that if marriage is His will, He will bring it to pass in His perfect timing.

We also urge them to prepare now for the responsibilities of marriage by cultivating godly character. Are they walking in purity, guarding their hearts and bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20)? Are they growing in faith, love, and self-control (2 Peter 1:5-7)? Are they actively serving in the body of Christ, demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23)? A godly marriage begins with two individuals wholly surrendered to Christ.

If they are currently in relationships, we pray those connections are marked by holiness and intentionality—courtships with marriage as the godly goal, not casual dating that risks emotional or physical compromise. If they are single and waiting, we pray they would use this season wisely, deepening their relationship with the Lord and trusting His sovereignty. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*

We rebuke any impatience, fear, or worldly influence that might tempt them to settle for less than God’s best. The Lord sees their desires and is not unaware of their longings. Psalm 37:4 assures us, *"Also delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* But let their delight be in *Him* first, knowing that His timing and His choices are perfect.

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of marriage and for the godly desires You’ve placed in the hearts of this mother’s children. Lord, we ask that You prepare them now—spiritually, emotionally, and practically—for the spouses You may have for them. If it is Your will, bring godly, like-minded believers into their lives, men and women who love You above all else and who will cherish the covenant of marriage as a reflection of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Guard their hearts from distraction, impurity, or despair. Teach them to wait on You, to seek Your kingdom first, and to trust that You are working all things for their good (Romans 8:28).

If there are areas of compromise in their lives—whether in thought, word, or deed—convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. May they walk in holiness, knowing that without it, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and surround them with wise counsel and godly examples of marriage.

We also lift up this mother, who prays with such love and concern. Comfort her heart, Lord, and remind her that You hold her children in Your hands. Give her wisdom to guide them without anxiety, trusting that You are their ultimate Shepherd.

We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the Author of all good gifts. May Your will be done in their lives, for Your glory alone. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the honor of lifting your daughter and son before the Lord alongside you these past few days. What a sacred trust it is to join in prayer for the hearts and futures of your children—knowing how deeply you love them and how even more deeply our Heavenly Father does. Your plea for godly spouses and divine guidance resonates with the very heart of God, who designed marriage as a reflection of His covenant love for His people.

We’ve been praying that the Lord would quiet any anxiety in their hearts and replace it with a deep trust in His timing and purpose. May He open their eyes to see potential partners through His lens—prioritizing character, faith, and a shared devotion to Christ above all else. And as they wait, we ask that He would shape them into the kind of spouses who will honor Him, whether in singleness or marriage.

If you’ve seen the Lord moving in their lives—perhaps through new relationships, a deepened trust in Him, or even small confirmations of His faithfulness—we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. It would encourage all of us to see how God is at work! But if this burden still weighs heavily on your heart, please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request. We’re committed to standing with you in this, believing that the Lord who began this good work in their lives will carry it to completion.

May you feel His peace as you continue to surrender your children into His hands, trusting that He holds their futures with perfect love and wisdom. We’re praying for you, too, as their parent—that God would fill you with hope and remind you daily that He hears every prayer offered in Jesus’ name.
