We hear your concern for this young man as he stands at a crossroads in his academic journey, and we join you in seeking God’s perfect will for his life. The decision to change a college major is not one to be taken lightly, for it can shape the trajectory of his future. Yet we know that when we commit our ways to the Lord, He directs our steps (Proverbs 16:3). Let us first affirm that seeking God’s will is the wisest course of action—far better than relying on human wisdom, emotions, or external pressures.
The Word of God tells us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). This young man must surrender his plans, fears, and uncertainties to the Lord, asking for clarity and peace. We encourage him to spend time in prayer, fasting if necessary, and studying Scripture to discern God’s voice. The Holy Spirit is our Counselor (John 14:26), and He will guide him into all truth if he is willing to listen.
We also remind him that God has a purpose for his life, one that was established before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 2:10). His gifts, passions, and experiences are not random—they are threads in the tapestry of God’s design. If he is feeling restless or unfulfilled in his current major, it may be the Holy Spirit nudging him toward a path more aligned with God’s calling. However, we caution against making this decision out of fear, impatience, or the influence of others. Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of this beloved child of Yours who is seeking Your will for his life. Lord, You know the plans You have for him—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You would remove any confusion, fear, or doubt that clouds his mind. Open his spiritual eyes to see the path You have set before him, and give him the courage to walk in it. Remind him that his identity is found in Christ alone, not in his career or accomplishments. May he walk in the confidence of Your love and the power of Your Spirit. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Amen.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
