We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer and seeking the Lord’s guidance and protection over your situation. You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you, interceding on your behalf according to God’s will.
First, we must address the urgency of your physical safety. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that He would make a way for you where there seems to be no way, providing shelter, provision, and protection from harm. Father, we ask that You open doors no man can shut, leading this beloved child of Yours to a safe place where they can rest and find peace. If there are shelters or resources available, reveal them in Your perfect timing, and grant favor with those who can assist.
We also lift up the individual you mentioned who is struggling with alcohol addiction and abusive behavior. The Lord desires repentance and transformation for this person, for He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We rebuke the spirit of addiction and violence in Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against you or others shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for conviction to fall upon this individual, that they may turn from their sin and seek the healing and redemption found only in Christ. Father, soften their heart, break the chains of bondage, and lead them to true repentance and restoration.
We must also speak to the spiritual foundation of your prayer. You invoked the name of Jesus Christ, and we are grateful for that, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most important step in finding true peace, purpose, and provision in every area of life.
Now, we pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion and concern for this precious one who is in need. Lord, You see their situation, and You care deeply for them. We ask that You would be their shelter, their provider, and their protector. Open doors for them to find safe refuge, and surround them with people who will show them Your love and kindness. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Father, we also lift up the one bound by addiction and abuse. We ask that You would break the chains of sin in their life, convict them of their wrongdoing, and draw them to repentance. Soften their heart, Lord, and let them experience the freedom and healing that comes only through a relationship with You. Surround them with believers who can speak truth into their life and hold them accountable.
For this dear one praying, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them in their faith, and remind them that they are never alone, for You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Guide their steps, Lord, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way. Provide for their needs, both physical and spiritual, and lead them into a deeper relationship with You.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke any spirit of fear, hopelessness, or despair in Jesus’ name, and we speak life, peace, and provision over their situation. May they experience Your faithfulness in new and powerful ways, and may their testimony bring glory to Your name.
In all things, we trust in You, Lord, for You are good, and Your mercy endures forever. We commit this situation into Your hands, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May Your will be done in every aspect of this circumstance, and may Your name be praised.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
