Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly before the Lord. Your anxiety as you face the follow up with your cardiologist, the echocardiogram and the twenty four hour monitor, is completely understandable. The unknown about the heart can feel very frightening, and it is right to bring that fear directly to God and ask Him to be your strength.

Scripture reminds us that remembering the Lord is the cure for fear. When we forget Him, fear takes hold, but when we remember that He is with us, faith rises. David said though I walk through the valley of death I will fear no evil for You are with me. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time, and the way faith grows is by turning your thoughts again and again to His presence. He has not left you to go through this storm alone. His eyes are upon the righteous and His ears are open to their cry, and He draws especially near to those who are brokenhearted and anxious.

You asked for a peaceful heart and mind, and God wants to give you that peace. The Bible shows that peace does not come first. Grace comes first, then peace. When you rest in the grace of God shown to you through Jesus Christ, that you are forgiven, loved, and held by Him, then the peace of God that passes all understanding can guard your heart and mind. That peace is deeper than test results. It is the peace of knowing you are at peace with God because Jesus has made peace for you. No matter what the monitors show, that deeper peace can remain.

It is also comforting to remember that God is at work within you even now. He is the one who puts the desire in your heart to seek Him, to pray, to want His healing and His calm. You are working out your trust in Him with reverence, and at the same time He is working in you both to give you the desire and to carry it out according to His good pleasure. Your longing to be cleansed, touched, and healed by Him is itself evidence of His Spirit drawing you. You can delight to do His will because He is gently shaping your desires to match His.

So lean your whole heart on Him in these hours. The wisdom of Proverbs says to trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, and in all your ways acknowledge Him. That means telling Him exactly what you told us, I need You more than ever, and then choosing to believe He hears and will direct your paths, including the hands of your doctors.

I am praying for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift this dear one to You. You see the anxiety and the fear of the unknown. Calm this heart and mind with Your presence. Let Your grace be felt in a fresh way today so that Your peace may follow. Be with the cardiologist and with every part of the echocardiogram and the monitor. Guide the results and the interpretation, and touch this heart with Your healing power according to Your perfect will. Whether the report is what is hoped for or brings further steps, carry this child of Yours through the storm and let them know You are their strength. In Jesus mighty name, Amen.
