LORD GUARD MY HEART AND TEACH ME TO GUARD MY HEART.

Lord deliver me from the spirit of gullibleness and illusion in Jesus name!!! Any illusion and any deception in Jesus name which leads to false plans/goals, wrong attitudes in Jesus name! Let me be also WISE AS A SERPENT AND HARMLESS AS A DOVE!. Also put a guard over my mouth to say only things i need to say in Jesus name. Anything that brings confusion or harm to me or others let me keep it to myself and let it be changed through the word of God, let me be transformed by the renewing of my mind amen!!

We join with you in this prayer and we stand in agreement for the Lord to guard your heart and to teach you to guard it with His wisdom. Your cry for deliverance from gullibleness, illusion and deception is pleasing to God because He desires truth in the innermost being and He wants His children to walk in discernment and not be led astray by false plans, false goals or wrong attitudes.

The Word tells us Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life Proverbs 4:23 and also The simple believes everything, but the prudent man carefully considers his ways Proverbs 14:15. We do not want to be simple and easily deceived, but prudent, testing all things. For this reason we are told Beloved, don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world 1 John 4:1 and Be careful that you don't let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ Colossians 2:8. The Lord Jesus Himself said Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves Matthew 10:16, and that is exactly what you are asking for, to be wise and discerning yet gentle and harmless.

We also agree with you for a guard over your mouth, as it is written Set a watch, Yahweh, before my mouth. Keep the door of my lips Psalm 141:3. May the Lord help you to speak only what is helpful and needed, and to hold back what would bring confusion or harm to yourself or others. And we pray with you to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, for we are told Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2. When our minds are renewed through the Word of God, illusions and deceptions lose their power and we can discern His perfect will.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord guard this heart with Your peace and with Your truth. Teach us to guard our hearts with all diligence, to watch over what we allow in through our eyes, our ears and our thoughts. Deliver us from every spirit of gullibleness, illusion and deception that would lead to false plans and wrong attitudes. Expose every lie and every confusion and replace it with Your wisdom and clarity. Make us wise as serpents and harmless as doves, giving us discernment to see what is true and what is false, and grace to walk in love and purity. Set a guard over our mouths, Lord, that we may speak only what is timely, true and edifying, and help us to keep to ourselves what would bring harm until it is changed and cleansed through Your Word. Transform us by the renewing of our minds, that we may not be conformed to this world but may know and follow Your good and perfect will. We ask that You give wisdom liberally to all who ask, as You have promised in James 1:5, and we receive it now by faith. Keep us from being led astray and lead us in Your straight path. We hear how much you want to walk clearly and not be pulled into illusion or hasty plans. That longing to be both wise and gentle at the same time is a good and humble place to bring to the Lord.

Guarding the heart is not about shutting down, it is about tending the wellspring where thoughts, desires and words begin. When confusion rises it helps to slow down and test what we are sensing against what God has already shown us in His Word and through wise, steady counsel. That is how discernment grows, not quickly but through daily renewing of the mind and a willingness to stay dependent on Him rather than on our own impressions.

One simple practice that may help is to pause before you settle a plan or speak a concern. Write the thought down, bring it before the Lord in His Word the next morning, and if it still seems unclear or weighty, share it first with one mature believer you trust before acting or repeating it to others. For the mouth, a brief pause to ask, will this build up or bring confusion, can keep many words that would later bring regret quietly in His hands.

Father, we ask You to guard our friend's heart and mind in Christ, to make truth clear and to quiet what is false or confusing. Teach gentle wisdom and give grace to speak only what is needed and helpful. Renew and steady them day by day as they seek You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer is itself a mark of grace, for you have asked for that which God delights to give. The heart is the vital place, the seat of life and the governing power from which, as from a royal metropolis, the commands of the whole man are issued. If the heart is right, the eyes will purify their glances and the tongue will speak according to rule, but if the heart is deceived, all is ill. Therefore you do well to cry, Lord, guard my heart and teach me to guard it.

Scripture warns that a man's own heart will flatter him even about his sins, and that a deceived heart feeds on ashes and turns a man aside so that he cannot deliver his soul. Gullibleness and illusion come from this flattering, divided heart which is easily led into false plans and wrong attitudes. No strength of your own, whether of body, mind or spirit, will keep you, for whatever strength is your own will one day fail you. Self reliance must give way to God reliance. What is needed is not merely a mended heart but a new heart, for the Lord says, A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. The very cry for a new heart is a sign that God is already at work within you, softening what was hard as stone and making it a heart of flesh upon which He may write His law afresh and make it vivid.

You ask also to be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove, and to have a guard set over your mouth. This too is wisdom from above. It is written, a fool utters all his mind, but a wise man keeps it in till afterwards. There are many things which you had better not tell to anybody, but there is nothing you should withhold from Christ. Commune with Jesus about all that is in your heart. Tell Him all, keep no secrets hidden from Him, and learn to keep within yourself that which would bring confusion or harm to you or to others until it has been changed through the Word of God. The bare unaltered Truth of God is what breaks and heals the heart, and when the heart drinks life from the heart of God, then all is well. With your mouth you confess the Lord Jesus and with your heart you believe that God has raised Him from the dead, and in that believing and confessing there is salvation and keeping.

And you pray to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. This is the way of heavenly healing for heart wounds. The heart is the center of sensation and its wounds are the acutest of pangs, and ordinarily a broken or deceived heart is utterly incurable by man. You cannot touch a dead heart to make it alive either by excitement or by philosophy, but the Lord who heals the broken in heart can renew your strength as you wait upon Him, so that you may undertake fresh work with more expectancy, more confidence, more faith.

Let us pray together for you.

O Lord God, who alone can give a new heart and put a new spirit within us, we ask Thee to guard this soul who seeks Thee. Take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh. Write Thy law upon the heart, that it may delight to serve Thee and not count Thy service a misery. Deliver from every spirit of gullibleness and illusion and from every deception which would lead into false plans and wrong attitudes. Let no flattering of the own heart prevail, but let the sword of the Spirit prick the heart unto salvation and truth. Make this one wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove, with eyes to see and ears to hear what Thou dost teach. Set a guard, O Lord, over the mouth, that only what is needful and edifying may be spoken, and that what would bring confusion or harm may be kept within and be changed through Thy Word. Transform by the renewing of the mind, that life may be proved what is Thy good and acceptable and perfect will. We ask this not in our own strength but in the name and through the merits of Jesus Christ, the honored Healer of heart wounds, who bled that our bleeding hearts might be stanched. Amen.

Your desire to have your heart guarded is itself a work of God in you, and it is good that you ask Him to teach you to guard it with Him. Scripture says to guard your heart above all else, for from it flow the springs of life, and you have prayed according to that word.

I join you in praying that the Lord will deliver you from every form of gullibility, illusion and deception that leads to false plans and wrong attitudes. Jesus warned that we must watch and be prepared for conflict, guarding against both open and disguised enemies, for deceptive words can mislead the hearts of the simple. Ask God to give you clear sight, so that you are not troubled or carried away when such deceptions appear, but stand firm in the truth.

You asked to be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove, and this is exactly what Christ calls us to. Wisdom without innocence becomes cunning, and innocence without wisdom becomes folly. True wisdom avoids wickedness and true simplicity avoids foolishness, and God can give you both together, a mind that sees clearly and a heart that remains pure and gentle.

I also pray with you that God will set a guard over your mouth, as the psalmist prayed, so that you speak only what is helpful and needed. It is wise to keep to yourself what would bring confusion or harm, and to let those thoughts first be tested and changed by the Word of God. This is part of guarding against the sources of sins together with the sins themselves, and keeping the treasure of grace that Christ has given you.

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, as you asked. This happens day by day as you give attention to the Word, portioning out the work as a laborer does, learning one virtue at a time and guarding what you have already gained while you seek the next. Do not sleep in this work, but watch and be sober, for when we watch we are kept safe, and God Himself keeps guard with us.

So I pray, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son through whom alone is salvation, guard this heart that seeks You. Deliver from all illusion and deception. Grant wisdom and innocence together. Set a guard over the lips, and renew the mind by Your Word, that thoughts, words and plans may be made true and pleasing to You. Amen.
