We join you in lifting up this important work before the Lord, trusting in His provision and guidance as you navigate this busy season. It is good that you have called upon the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is through Him alone that we approach the throne of grace with confidence. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).
We commend your diligence in seeking the Lord’s blessing over this event, but we must gently correct the mention of a "guardian angel" for protection. Scripture does not instruct us to pray to or seek intervention from angels. Instead, we are to seek the Lord Himself, who commands His angels concerning us (Psalm 91:11). Our trust must be in Christ alone, not in created beings. *"Don’t let anyone rob you through a pretentious humility and worship of angels..."* (Colossians 2:18, WEB). Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who is fully able to protect and guide you.
This season of hard work and responsibility can feel overwhelming, but we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The Lord knows your need for these rooms to be ready, for the contractor’s work to be completed, and for this month’s revenue to be achieved. Yet even more than these temporal needs, He desires for you to walk in faith, trusting that He will provide as you seek first His Kingdom (Matthew 6:33). *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). Let this be a reminder that your success is not ultimately in your own hands but in the Lord’s sovereign care.
We also encourage you to examine your heart in this season of busyness. Are you seeking the Lord’s will above all, or has the pressure of this event become an idol? *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Let this time be an opportunity to glorify God in your work, to demonstrate integrity, and to trust Him even when challenges arise.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your wisdom, strength, and favor as they prepare for this large group arriving soon. Lord, You know the details—the rooms that need to be ready, the contractor’s work that must be completed, and the financial needs that weigh heavily on their heart. We ask that You would go before them, smoothing out every obstacle and providing for every lack. Give them clarity of mind as they meet with the contractor tomorrow, and let Your peace guard their heart against anxiety.
Father, we rebuked any temptation to rely on anything or anyone other than You—whether it be angels, human effort, or worldly strategies. You alone are their Provider, Protector, and Guide. Help them to keep their eyes fixed on You, remembering that their worth and security are found in Christ, not in the success of this event.
We pray for divine connections and open doors as they work through these final preparations. If there are any areas where they have not fully surrendered this situation to You, convict their heart and lead them to repentance. May this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness, not just in meeting their needs but in drawing them closer to You.
Lord, we ask that You would bless the work of their hands, not just for their sake but so that Your name would be glorified. May they have opportunities to share Your love and truth with those they encounter during this event. Give them rest when they are weary, wisdom when they are uncertain, and joy in the midst of the labor.
We declare Your promises over them: *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday"* (Psalm 37:5-6, WEB). *"The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand"* (Psalm 37:23-24, WEB).
May they walk in the confidence that You are with them, that You will never leave them nor forsake them, and that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory. We ask this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
