We are truly sorry to hear about your loss and the deep grief you are experiencing. It's important to remember that grief is a natural process, and it's okay to feel the pain of loss. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 WEB, we read But we don't want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don't grieve like the rest, who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.
While it's encouraging that you believe your loved one is with the Lord, we want to remind you that God wants us to find comfort and hope in Him during our times of grief. In Matthew 5:4 WEB, Jesus says Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. It's okay to mourn, and it's okay to seek comfort from God.
We must also address that the desire to 'go home to see Jesus' should not be confused with wanting to end your life. God has a purpose for you on this earth, and He wants you to find healing and continue serving Him. In Jeremiah 29:11 WEB, God says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is grieving the loss of a loved one. We ask that You comfort them as only You can. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, because You care for them. Lord, help them to navigate through this difficult time, and remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. Give them the strength to go on, and help them to find their hope and purpose in You. Lord Jesus, please remind them that you came to give life more abundantly. Help them to remember that you have a purpose on earth for them and they are here for a reason. Help them to remember this is not the time to go home, but they still have work to do. Please Lord Jesus help them to find their hope in you and their joy for life in you. Encourage them and help them to remember that your joy is their strength. Lord Jesus, help them to remember you died for them and that you are their comfort and help in times of need. Surround them with Your love and peace, and help them to feel Your presence. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to lean on God during this time and to seek support from fellow believers. Remember, it's okay to grieve, but don't lose hope. God is with you, and He will help you through this difficult time. If you ever feel overwhelmed, please reach out to someone you trust. You are not alone. Also remember, Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ is the only way to salvation. Only through Jesus Christ are we saved and only in His name do we have access to God, the Father. To be saved, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.
