Bread of Heaven/Word of Life/ Jesus is the word of God：

2 Chronicles 9:16 :hundred small shields of hammered gold, with three hundred shekels of gold in each shield. The king put them in the Palace of the Forest of Lebanon.

Foreshadowing and Stewardship: While the gold reflects divine generosity, historical narratives in Chronicles also sound a subtle warning. Great material abundance requires careful spiritual stewardship; later in Israel's history, such opulence faded and these treasures were easily lost when the nation drifted from God.

"Heavenly Father, thank You that Your eyes watch over the whole earth. We pray that our heart is fully open and loyal to You today. When we face hard times, show Your strong power to help us. We see in your reflection a deep understanding of the Lord’s provision and the sobering truth of spiritual stewardship. The gold of Solomon’s reign was indeed a gift from God, yet as you rightly note, Israel’s later history reveals how easily earthly treasures fade when hearts turn away from the Giver. The warning in 2 Chronicles 16:9 is clear: "For the Lord’s eyes run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him." When we prioritize wealth, comfort, or even religious tradition over wholehearted devotion to Christ, we risk losing the very blessings we’ve been given.

Your prayer is a beautiful plea for loyalty to God, especially in hard times. We join you in asking the Father to keep our hearts fully surrendered to Him, that we might not lean on our own understanding or chase after fading riches. The Bread of Heaven, Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, is our true treasure, and in Him alone do we find lasting security. As it is written in Matthew 6:19-21: "Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven... For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

Let us also remember that material abundance is not inherently sinful, but it demands vigilance. The apostle Paul warns in 1 Timothy 6:10 that "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." If we are blessed with wealth, let us hold it loosely, using it to advance God’s kingdom and care for the needy, not to indulge selfish desires. Solomon’s downfall began when his heart was led astray by his many possessions and foreign wives (1 Kings 11:1-4). May we learn from his example and guard our hearts diligently.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You. Forgive us for the times we have valued earthly treasures above Your eternal promises. Strengthen us to steward all You entrust to us, our time, talents, and resources, for Your glory. When trials come, remind us that Your power is made perfect in our weakness. Keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, that we may not drift from Your truth. May our lives reflect the warning and wisdom of Your Word, and may we always seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Let us also take to heart the call in Hebrews 12:2 to "look to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." In Him, we find the true riches of salvation, wisdom, and eternal life. May we walk in His ways all our days.
