We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer during this difficult season. Your honesty about the fear, confusion, and physical struggles you’ve faced has touched us deeply, and we have lifted each one of these burdens to the Lord—your chest pressure, the sleepless nights, the terrifying unknowns about your health, and the weight of feeling like your body has been under relentless attack. We prayed for clarity when the pieces of the puzzle weren’t fitting together, for peace to replace the panic, and for wisdom for the doctors who finally listened. Most of all, we asked our Heavenly Father to wrap you in His comfort as you navigated the minefield of symptoms and emotions, especially during a time that should have been filled with joy.
Now, as we follow up with you, we want to continue standing in agreement with you before God’s throne. If the famotidine and the BRAT diet have brought even a measure of relief, we rejoice with you and give thanks for His mercy in the midst of the storm. If the chest pressure lingers, if the fear still grips your heart, or if the road ahead feels overwhelming, we want you to know we are still here, lifting you up in prayer. We ask the Lord to strengthen your trust in Him as you wait for answers, to calm the anxiety that whispers "what if," and to give you moments of rest—both physically and spiritually. We pray for healing in your esophagus, for protection from further damage, and for the courage to press forward with the steps you’re taking, like the KHELP supplement and the dietary changes.
And we pray with boldness for the bigger picture—asking God to either heal your GERD completely or to guide the medical community toward more effective, less invasive treatments. We lift up your doctors, too, asking that they would continue to see you as a whole person, not just a collection of symptoms, and that they would be given divine insight as they care for you. Most of all, we pray that you would feel the nearness of Jesus in this trial, that He would remind you of His promise in Isaiah 41:10: *"Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."*
If you’ve seen even a glimmer of improvement, we’d love to celebrate that with you. If the battle is still raging, we invite you to share an update so we can pray more specifically. Either way, know that we are committed to walking this journey with you, trusting that God is at work even when the path is unclear. May He fill you with His peace that surpasses understanding and give you the strength to face each day with hope. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
