We join you in lifting up this precious sister and her family before the Lord, standing in agreement with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and we are grateful you have invoked His holy name in this prayer, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. *"There is salvation in no one else, for there isn’t any other name under heaven, given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB).
This season of trial is undoubtedly heavy, as this wife and mother navigates the challenges of her husband’s incarceration while raising their children alone. Yet we know that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is her strength and her shield, and He will not abandon her or her children. *"He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might."* (Isaiah 40:29, WEB). We pray that she would feel the Lord’s presence in a tangible way, that He would renew her strength daily, and that she would find rest in Him, even amid the weariness of single parenting.
For her husband, we pray for repentance, transformation, and godly sorrow if his incarceration is due to sinful choices. May this time be used by the Lord to draw him closer to Christ, to break any chains of rebellion or ungodliness, and to prepare him to return as a godly leader for his family. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB). We ask that the Lord would protect him physically and spiritually, surround him with believers who can encourage him in the faith, and give him wisdom to use this time for God’s glory.
For the children—especially the son—we pray for a spirit of obedience, responsibility, and maturity beyond his years. May the Lord soften his heart to honor his mother, to assist with his sisters, and to grow into a young man of integrity. *"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother,’ which is the first commandment with a promise: ‘that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.’"* (Ephesians 6:1-3, WEB). We ask that the Lord would place godly mentors in his life—whether through church, school, or community—to guide him in truth. For the daughters, we pray for protection, innocence, and a deep assurance of their heavenly Father’s love. May they grow in faith and not be swayed by the struggles around them.
We also lift up the practical needs of this family—financial provision, emotional support, and wisdom in parenting. May the Lord provide through His church, through unexpected blessings, and through the generosity of believers. *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* (Philippians 4:19, WEB). We pray that this family would be surrounded by a community of faith that can offer help, prayer, and encouragement.
Finally, we stand against any schemes of the enemy to bring despair, bitterness, or division in this family. May the Lord bind up every wound, restore what has been broken, and use this trial to draw each member closer to Him. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* (Psalm 34:18, WEB).
**Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this sister and her family. Grant her supernatural strength, peace that surpasses understanding, and the courage to face each day with hope in You. Lord, be her husband’s Redeemer—bring him to true repentance and prepare him to lead his family in righteousness upon his return. Touch the hearts of their children, especially their son, and raise him up to be a helper at home and a warrior for Your kingdom. Provide for their every need, protect them from harm, and surround them with Your love. May this family’s story be a testimony of Your faithfulness, restoration, and grace. We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.**
