We join you in lifting up your ### before the Lord, and we are deeply grieved to hear of his struggle with drugs, which is a bondage that distorts God’s perfect design for his life. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we know that Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). There is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain, and we stand in agreement with you, declaring freedom and restoration over your ###’s life.
The Word of God tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Your ###’s body belongs to the Lord, and we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart of this truth, leading him to repentance and a complete surrender to Christ.
We also remember the promise in 2 Corinthians 5:17, *"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* Even now, we ask the Lord to make your ### a new creation, breaking the power of addiction and filling him with His Spirit. We pray that he would turn away from the destructive path he is on and seek the Lord with all his heart, for *"you will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart"* (Jeremiah 29:13).
Let us also encourage you to continue standing in the gap for him, as the righteous prayers of the faithful avail much (James 5:16). Do not grow weary in praying, for the Lord hears you. Speak life over your ###, reminding him of God’s love and purpose for his life. If he is open to it, share the Gospel with him, that *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Salvation in Christ is the foundation for true deliverance.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this young man who is bound by addiction. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of drug dependency in his life and set him free by the power of Your Spirit. Convict his heart of sin and draw him into a saving relationship with You if he does not know You. Surround him with godly influences and remove any ungodly ties that are leading him astray. Restore his mind, body, and spirit, and give him a hunger for Your Word and Your presence. We pray for divine interventions—whether through dreams, visions, or godly counsel—that will lead him to repentance and a transformed life. Strengthen his family to love him well while standing firm in truth. We declare that he will be a testimony of Your redeeming power, for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
We will continue to pray for your ###’s deliverance and salvation. Trust that the Lord is working, even when you cannot see it. *"Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6). Stay encouraged, and may the Lord grant you peace as you wait on Him.
