Granddaughter ###

I was just notified yesterday by my granddaughter's bail bondsman that she is due in court tomorrow in another state. The court-appointed lawyer never contacted her. She has never spoken to the lawyer except at her arraignment when the only thing she was told was to plead not guilty and call her within a couple of days. When she did, she was told the lawyer would call her back when discovery was made. She hasn't heard a word and tried unsuccessfully to get a hold of her lawyer yesterday. She was actually arrested in Dec of 2019 for resisting arrest (marijuana on her) and has not really talked to a lawyer yet. She moved to be near us right after due to being abused by a family member and having mental health issues and has done well. She turned 18 this past August; has been working with 2 promotions since Feb 2019, graduated HS, got her driver's license, and bought a car. She has changed a lot although still suffers from depression and PTSD due to the abuse. We are leaving today to be there in time for the court date. Please pray that all goes well and she can continue her life here.

Thank you all for praying for my granddaughter. It was a stressful couple of days for her - lots of tears. When she got there she had a new public defender who really helped her. All went very well. It's not over - but - the rest will come easily. Thank you!
