We are lifting you and your ### up together before the Lord in this tender and difficult time and we join with you in trusting God's perfect timing even as our hearts ache. We hear your love for him and we thank you for sharing that you know Jesus is with him, for that is our greatest comfort.
We know this hurts deeply even when we trust the Lord's sovereignty. Scripture reminds us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18 and that even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil, for He is with us and His rod and His staff comfort us Psalm 23:4. For those who are in Christ, to be absent from the body is to be at home with the Lord 2 Corinthians 5:8 and He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more Revelation 21:4. We also cling to the promise that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up this precious ### to You. Lord, we ask that You make Your presence so near and so real to him in these hours. Comfort him, ease any pain or fear, and let him feel Your loving arms around him. If it is Your will to call him home, we pray You will receive him gently into Your eternal presence where there is no more suffering. We pray that he knows Jesus as His Savior and that he has the assurance of sins forgiven and everlasting life through faith in Him. Father, comfort this family who is gathered with him. Hold them as they love him so dearly through this valley. Give them strength for each moment, peace that passes understanding, and the comfort of the Father of mercies and God of all comfort who comforts us in all our affliction 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. Let them know it is holy and good to grieve with hope because Jesus has conquered death. May they speak Your Word over him, hold his hand, and rest in Your perfect timing and mercy. We entrust him fully into Your hands, trusting that You do all things well and that Your love never fails. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stay close to him, to speak softly to him, to read Scripture aloud and to pray over him even if he seems unable to respond. The Lord hears every prayer and He is already with your ### as you have so faithfully said. Allow yourselves to grieve and to love one another well in these days, casting all your worries on Him, because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. We are continuing to pray for comfort for him, for peace for you all, and for the Lord to be glorified even in this hard moment.

We have heard your tender cry and we join you even now beside your grandad's bed with prayer and sympathy. Men need comfort because they are but men, and the Lord knows the frailty of this hour when one so dear to you is being made comfortable and every breath is precious.
The Lord Himself says, I will comfort you, and when He undertakes the work, the soul is satisfied even through poor earthen vessels. He will comfort His people in the very place of their trouble, and that promise is for you now in that quiet room where love keeps watch. You have said truly that Jesus is with him, and so He is, for He has promised never to leave nor forsake His own, and not a single trial comes but by His permission and remains in His hands to restrain or direct according to His will.
This is your comfort in affliction, that God's Word has quickened you and will quicken you still. Fly to that Word with speed in every time of trouble. Remember it is written, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. The Lord speaks those words not only by His ministers but by His own Spirit to the tearful eye and the aching heart. Be not content unless you get the truth from the mouth of God Himself, and He will speak sweet words of comfort into your ear even in this wilderness.

If it be Thy timing to call him home, grant him peace and a gentle passage, and let him hear Thy voice and feel Thy presence near. Comfort these hearts that ache even while they trust Thy wisdom, and establish them in every good word and work. Give comfort and constancy together, that they may be sustained not by doubtful comfort from man but by true comfort from Thee which never fails. Quicken their souls by Thy Word, that they may say though grief be deep, yet we are Thy living children, and that is wellspring enough. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your love for your grandfather is evident in your words and we are praying with you and for him in this painful and tender time.
It is right that you hold both truths together, that you trust God's timing and goodness and yet feel the deep hurt of seeing someone you love so dearly made comfortable as his life draws near its end. That sorrow is not a lack of faith. Tears in such an hour are natural and holy, and the Lord does not despise them. He is close to the brokenhearted and He gathers our grief as seeds that will one day bring joy in His presence.
We thank God that you know Jesus is with him. That is our greatest comfort, that nothing can separate those who belong to Christ from His love, not in life and not in death. We pray that your grandfather would know the peace of Christ in these hours, that any pain would be eased, that fear would be quieted, and that he would feel the nearness of the Shepherd who walks with us through the valley.
