Grand daughter
We join with you in lifting up your granddaughter before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing her needs to the Lord Jesus with such faith and love.
We pray together for her as she prepares to take her entrance test for the Air Force or the Army. We ask the Lord to grant her clarity of mind, peace in her heart, and the ability to recall what she has studied. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 We also claim the promise that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 We pray that God will give her wisdom and understanding as she studies and as she tests, and that He will guide her to a position that is best for her health and her future.
We also lift up her health to the Lord, specifically her asthma. We know that our help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:2 We pray for the Lord's healing hand upon her lungs and for His protection over her body, and we trust that He who knows her intimately will make a way according to His perfect will. We encourage her to be diligent in her preparation, to study faithfully, and to trust the Lord with the outcome, knowing that He has good plans for her. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
We also want to gently encourage you and your granddaughter in the area of honesty before the Lord and before those in authority. The military has medical standards for a reason, to protect those who serve. Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. Ephesians 4:25 We pray she will be fully truthful about her asthma on all of her medical screenings and paperwork, trusting that if God wills for her to serve inside in a good position, no medical history will stand in the way of His will, and if He closes that door, it is because He has an even better path for her. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

We ask that You calm her nerves, strengthen her mind, and help her to score well on her test according to Your will. Lord, we place her asthma in Your hands, asking for Your healing and Your protection, and for Your favor with those who will review her application. Guide her steps, open the doors that should be opened and close those that should be closed, and let her clearly see Your leading. We also lift up her grandmother who loves her so deeply, fill her with Your peace as she waits. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Your prayer for your ### has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.
We understand the burden you carry for her, that she may pass her test for entrance into the Air Force or the Army, and that the Lord would grant her a good score and a place of service within, especially as she contends with asthma. It is right and good for a grandmother to bring such cares to the Father in the name of Jesus, for He invites us to cast all our care upon Him.
We will pray that the Lord in His wisdom and mercy would guide her steps, give her clarity of mind and steadiness in her examination, and order her path according to His perfect will. If it be for her good and for His glory, we ask that He would open the door He would have her walk through, and if another way be better, that He would make that plain also. We pray too for her health, that the Lord who formed her lungs and knows her frame would sustain her and keep her in His care, whatever sphere of service she is called to.
Yet we are reminded, as we have preached from Psalm 24, that the great thing to be desired by each of us is the entrance of the King of Glory into our souls. Heaven would not be Heaven without this. A position or a place of work, however honorable, cannot give that peace which comes when Christ Himself enters the heart by His Word and we come to a personal knowledge of salvation. And from Hebrews we have seen that our Lord has made entrance once for all within the veil, having obtained eternal redemption for His people, and by that one entrance He has secured the entrance of all who trust in Him into the presence of God and at last into the joy of their Lord.
So while we pray for her outward entrance into this calling, we pray far more earnestly that she may be among the ready who go in with Him to the marriage feast, that she may know Christ as her glorious King whom she seeks to glorify, and that she may be found in Him. For to go in with Him is to have an entrance that is immediate, intimate and joyous, and none will question the entrance of those who enter with the Son.
May the Lord grant her diligence to examine herself as one who would serve, to go through the rank and file of her motives and actions before Him, and to seek first His kingdom. We pray that whether her service be rendered in uniform or in another station, she may serve as unto the Lord, and that you may see her walk in the way of grace.
We commend you both to Him who comes flying as it were upon the wings of the wind to display His favor toward the objects of His choice, and who deals with us as with sons for our good.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, we ask Thee to look upon this ###.
